Examples request - tinc witn tun/utun mode=router
Hi Folks, Does anyone have a set of config files handy, using tinc in routed/tun mode (preferably DeviceType=utun) I'm particularly interested to see what the tinc-up and tinc-down files should look like when the vpn is not using tap mode. I have this, from my tap (switch mode tinc) , but it doesn't work for tun devices.    ifconfig $INTERFACE inet 10.10.101.2/24 up If I run my

rookie - mount nt share from Solaris 2.6?
I believe I know the answer, but I'd like to be certain, since I keep seeing references to things like smbmount and smbfs... Is it possible to mount an NT (4.0sp3) share onto a Solaris 2.6/Sparc? I just grabbed Samba 2.0.6. I suspect not (I don't see any smbmount or smbfs in my samba/bin directory). Will this ever be a possibility? If so, when? And, are there any other options for

Regarding /tmp/random: Someone has made the same quick&dirty fix as my AIX compile fix, for a lack of /dev/urandom. ssh expects some random bytes to be available in that file. I, or someone else should probably create a more portable way of generating entropy. ;) //Tor-?ke >From: Niels Provos <provos at outguess.org> >To: openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org >Subject: Fwd: Re:

SaMBa permissions problem
Hi, I'm having a slight problem with samba permissions. Here goes my scenario: Red Hat Linux 8.0 with samba I got a samba share "public" Users can access the share and write there what they need, but if a user creates a directory, other users can't access it. How can I configure things so that everyone in the group accesses everything in the share?

Hi, I am kind of new to the samba set of programs and I have one small question. Is there a way to setup samba so that Windows NT/2000 machines can change the file or folder permissions on a samba share? I read in the documentation that this is possible, but trying the method described in the manual, I cannot even find a permissions tab when I right click, properties. I am running samba 2.0.7 at
