Problem with SPNEGO on full trust 2016 DC <> Samba 4.10.7 AD
I've read the documentation that domain trusts should be fully supported with both Kerberos and NTLM authentication. I've created a new 2016 domain on a Windows box and created a Samba domain on a Linux box with a BIND9_DLZ backend. Both servers can resolve both DNS domains forwards and backwards and I am able to connect a Windows 10 client to the Samba domain without any issues. The

but I think you guys may have a your opinion about this.
I''m using Linux 2.4.x with netfilter packet filtering / NAT on our
front-end firewalls (P500 with 1Gb RAM), which are filtering traffic
going to our Public Web Sites.
The traffic is growing very fast since several months.. The average

Per user voicemail greeting
I'm struggle to answer a simple question. One user at extension 4000
wants a custom .gsm file to play for their mailbox. I can't figure where
to put it/what to set in voicemail.conf to achieve this:
voicemail.conf
4000 => 4000,system,voicemail at ....net
Relevant extensions.conf line:
exten => 2,n,VoiceMail(4000 at voicemail)
It all works fine, playing the system VM greating, but

Mail migration problem
Well, judging by the error message it appears like dovecot hasn't been
compiled with support for maildir, which is strange because I don't see
any way to disable in the compile-time options.
Are you using the precompiled package from the distro or compiling
dovecot by yourself? Could you share the output of "dovecot
--build-options" and "dovecot --version"?

timeBasedSeq stumbles over the year 2038 (xts package)
I have the following problem:
As expected I obtain
timeBasedSeq( 2037/2037)
[1] "2037-01-01"
>
However if I do the same for 2038 I get
timeBasedSeq( 2038/2038)
[1] "2038-01-01" "2039-01-01"
I get the same strange result if I use later years or any interval that contains 2038:
timeBasedSeq( 2037/2039)
[1] "2037-01-01" "2038-01-01"

You think Microsoft's mailing lists and forums are better? Just wait (and
wait, and and ...). Oh, that's right, you can call Microsft for help ,,, and
shell out $295 per.

pdbedit not working as documented
I have am hitting a wall with pdbedit, as shown below.
Any workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
I am encountering the inability to change any users (profile) SID on Samba
3.x for Linux and BSD, which causes the accounts to no longer recognize
their local Samba 2 profiles once they join Samba 3 domain. If I add a new
user and pdbedit -a user -U SID it ignores the -U.
The old profiles appear

that from the backupallusers.txt.
Smbpasswd ¡Vw secret < on both PDC & BDC

pdbedit how to change a domain
Samba version 3.0.9 on Red Hat 9.0
workstations: NT 4.0 SP6
When I took over this project, there were two domains connected by a
VPN. For reasons that I'm unable to understand, some new users wound up
with the intended domain of SATA and some wound up in SATB (even though
they joined the SATA domain. Recently, all kinds of problems have
materialized and the only thing I can find wrong is

samba 3.0.22 possible bug - sid for bdc
Hello Lads,
Problem could be smbldap-tools, im using 0.97.
I have manually set the sid on the bdc which seems to work.
I am confused because I thought net rpc getsid stored the sid from the pdc
on the bdc in secrets. I wasn't aware that net getlocalsid should return
identical results on both pdc & bdc. Please explain this - why isnt the BDC
obtaining the sid automatic as it should

Snom 200 with two extns defined anyone?
Are there any Snom 200 users that have two extns defined on their phone?
I've been trying to get two (or more) extns defined in such a way that
when extn #1 rings, LED #1 flashs; extn #2 rings, LED #2 flashes, etc.
(Answer greating will be different depending upon which extension is
called.)
I can get multiple extns to register and work with * just fine, but
