I hope that someone can let me know what I have done wrong. I need to replace and existing server (server1) with a new server (server2). Server1 is currently running LDAP/Samba (3.0.14). Profiles stored in /opt/samba/profiles I installed all of the pieces, and LDAP works (mostly, I have an issue, see below) I ran net getlocalsid DOMAINNAME on server1 used the SID value in net setlocalsid

I have 2 Ubuntu 12.04/samba 4 servers acting as DCs for my Domain. I provisioned the Domain by using the classicupgrade (prior authentication was LDAP+Samba). I have added some new test users. I also have two files servers. One is running RHEL 5.9/Samba 3, the other Ubuntu 12.04/Samba 4. Users that have their home directories and profiles stored on the RHEL5.9/Samba 3 fileserver work correctly.

I am wondering why slapd in my CentOS 4.4s erver was unable to run. I already configure ldap to start at boot and when I issue command /sbin/service ldap start it is sucessfully started but again when I check the status etheir thru service or by netstat, it was stopped and not exist respectively. Hi all. Just tried to upgrade our test PDC server from 3.0.14a to 3.0.20, and now i've stumbled in to the following error. Using the User Manager for Domains causes a "Procedure out of range" error. Using DameWare NT Utilities causes the application to crash. Tried both in WIN2000 and XP. If I downgrade to 3.0.14a again everything is OK. Server Manager works OK in both versions.
