ldap passwd sync not working
Hi, there!
When my XP users try to change passwords, they get a message saying that
password has been changed. That's not true!
NT and LM passwords are changed but unixPassword isn't.
Look at this openldap.log lines:

Duplex printer + samba + cups
Gentleman,
In one of my slackware servers I put samba acting as a printer server
connected to a Hewlett-Packard 2420D (D stands for duplex).
In CUPS I'm using the 'raw' driver. So I let the clients to perform the
driver stuff.
On samba, I followed the procedures described on

vfs full_audit panic
Folks,
I tried using full_audit on Samba 3.0.28 by putting the following
lines on smb.conf (global section):
vfs objects = full_audit
full_audit:facility = LOCAL2
full_audit:priority = WARN
full_audit:prefix = %u|%m|%S
full_audit:success = rename rmdir unlink write
full_audit:failure = none
My log says:

Problem on displaying groupquota info
Gentleman,
I have samba-3.0.25a working on a FreeBSD6.2 server.
It was been compiled with-quota support.
It was supposed to be working well with userquota and groupquota. Actually
it is ok with userquotas. But it is passing wrong information about
groupquota.
On the server, 'quota -g sti' shows

macro for number of copies
Gentleman,
I'd like to know the proper macro for getting the number of copies of a
job sent by a windows client.
If one send one or more copies of a job which has 10 pages, the %c macro
has a value of 10.
This is the only lack for me to publish a simple printing quota system
based on a samba environment.
Thanks for you time.
PS: I really tried to understand the source related to printing

UTMP duplicated entries
Hi everybody!
I've been noticing some strange entries in samba/utmp. I have a lot of
00:00 timed sessions.
But the worst problem is that i found some conflicting information. Since
windows doesn't allow concurrent login sessions, I think utmp should not
have generated the following entries.

page_count x number_of_copies
Hi all!
I have a samba print server which stores information about each job. To
accomplish this, I have set 'printing = sysv' so I can use print command.
Print command passes to a script some info including '%c' (page_count).
The problem is that if someone sends more than one copy of the document,
%c doesn't tell me so.
It means that %c tells exactly the number of pages sent

Login and logout auditing
Hi all!
Is there a way of logging date/time/workstation/username for every logon
and logoff in a samba domain?
I realized that it isn't possible to use log level auth for this purpose.
I tried to use connections to netlogon service written on the logs. But I
realized that those connections are closed before the user logs out.
The main idea behind this is to have information enought to

Sybase 12.5.3 on CentOS 5
Folks,
After installing CentOS 5, I installed a few Sybase dependencies such as
compat-libstdc++-296 and libXp.
Once Sybase was installed, I started the steps to create the Adaptative
Server. When the wizard executes the dataserber binary it crashes with
segmentation fault.
Someone can give me some help on this? Does anyone have this working?
Thanks in advance!

SAMBA - Access control to printer sharings
Hi you all!
I am mantaining a few printer severs using Samba 2.2.8 on a WinNT domain.
I've got some disk sharings controlled by 'read list' and 'write list',
limiting some groups. It worked just fine.
But now I need to get only one group printing on a printer sharing and
everybody else must be rejected.
As I said, people are logging in a WinNT Server. So that's the main

Timing in a script
Hi, all --
I am trying to write a script in which I can add users and their samba passwords easily and quickly.? It looks something like:
?? useradd -c "User Name" -g groupname -p unixpassword accountname
?? echo -e "smbpassword\nsmbpassword\n" | pdbedit -a -t -u accountname
If
I type the lines from the keyboard, it works fine.? However, when I try

old password in passwordchat empty
Hi,
I am having a problem synchronizing user passwords with an LDAP server.
The samba password works fine but synchronizing the LDAP unixpassword fails.
Samba server and LDAP server are not identically and therefore I need
the old an the new password for whatever passwd chat.
But %o is an empty string.
I browse through the source code and found:

Kernel panic w/ DAHDI 2.x/Digium TE220B
I've seen this consistently on three systems, with three different
cards, and multiple versions of DAHDI. At first I thought the issue
only occurred on newer, Nehalem-based, systems, but I reproduced it on
a Core 2 Duo box as well. I've tested with dahdi-linux 2.2.0.2, dadhi-
linux-complete 2.0.0+2.0.0, 2.1.0.2+2.1.0.2, and 2.2.0.2+2.2.0. The
card is a Digium TE220B which uses the

[CentOS-devel] Authorization to use CentOS logo in GNOME Boxes
Thanks Rich for drawing this forward, I had missed it. (I generally
handle all the trademark usage queries.)
The key reference is this one, the trademark guidelines:
https://www.centos.org/legal/trademarks/
That document should give the GNOME project all of the authorization and
guidelines on how to use and not use the CentOS marks.
