sambaProfilePath
dumb question... if I put \\SERVER\PROFILES\%u in sambaProfilePath for some user and that user logs in for the first time, it literally creates a %u directory in the proper folder and not the uid name. Am I dumb? Must I actually hard code each one in? Craig

upgrade 3.0.1 -> 3.0.2, problem with homes-share
Hi! We are using Samba 3 in SuSE-linux 8.2 with ldap. After upgrading from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 we got following problem: When users log-in homes-share is not allways reachable, so automatic homedrive-mapping and roaming profiles doesn't work. Can't login

changing password on samba bdc
Greetings All. First let me introduce my situation Machine1: Pdc Samba + OpenLDAP(master) Machine2: Bdc Samba + OpenLDAP(slave) LDAP stores Samba and POSIX information for each user. LDAP backend for a stand-alone server
I'm sure I'm missing something in the configuration or am misconfiguring the ldif. Regular linux accounts authenticate fine looking at the ldap but not samba accounts. I have yet to get group mapping to work in samba 3.0. Getting very frustrated. I'm using openldap 2.1.23 as the backend database for samba 3.0.0.
