Re: ogg123
I'm forwarding this on to the Vorbis users list because though it was
initially addressed to me it's not really a problem I can deal with
(though I give a few suggestions and discussion below anyway, of
questionable accuracy).
This was initially from a query to me about ogg123 WAV to stdout, but
upon reply I got this in addition to discussion about WAV outuput, so

Samba 4.1 Member Server and Winbind
Hello everybody,
for a while I am running a Samba 4.1 AD server under FreeBSD (from the
FreeBSD ports). At thw moment the domain has ca. 20 Windows 7 desktops.
I wanted to add a Samba 4.1 file server as a member server, was able to
joint the domain and see AD users via "winbind -u"
but "getent password" or "id <user>" does not work.
The smb4.conf is

Winbind troubles
I've rolled 2 virtual servers running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and have
installed the SerNet packages. SRV1 has the AD setup and SRV2 is a
member server. I've followed the wiki for both servers to the letter,
and winbind still refuses to grab info on the member server.
I rolled the provision with --use-rfc2307, added a bunch of users with
samba-tool. I then manually created a group and made sure

Unable to install packages: "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgfortran"
Dear all,
I'm using R version 3.2.0 in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
While trying to install any package I get the error: "/usr/bin/ld: cannot

If I open a Terminal and run "ldconfig -p | grep libgfortran"?, I get:?

Portupgrade preserves the libraries in /usr/local/lib/compat/pkg:

Winbind-Problem in Samba 2.2.7a with Suse 8.2
Hi Outthere,
I run a small Windows Network with a MS Small Business Server 2000 and
want to extend it by a Linux/Samba-Fileserver. I use Suse 8.2 and the
Samba Distribution 2.2.7a that comes with it. Samba works well
principally. But I want to use the winbind daemon to simplify the user
management.
I followed the installation guides from Using Samba from o'Reilly Press.
First I configured

[PATCH 1/2] Revert "appliance: init: run ldconfig"
Running ldconfig adds about 100ms to the boot time. I would prefer
that we understood which libraries need ldconfig to be run, and fix
that. We could also consider running ldconfig in parallel, but since
it might be required by just about any binary that the init script
runs it's not clear what benefit that gives.
This reverts commit 66aa98265dd215dcd4c717e7ef6845fbac859e54.

Incorrect composed_of I think
I am trying to use composed_of in my model, but I not succeeding.
With the code I pasted below, I cannot perform this action in the console:
property = Property.new(1, "px")
I get NameError: uninitialized constant Property when I try to perform
that action. It''s not finding my class I made I suppose. The Property
class is in the same file as the Element class, element.rb.

Problem with libnss_winbind.so.2
Good afternoon people. Wiki'm following procedure:
RHEL based OSIf you have compiled Samba yourself on a RHEL based OS, to have your domain users and groups available locally on your Domain Member, you need to place two links in your /lib64 folder:# ln -s /usr/local/samba/lib/libnss_winbind.so /lib64# ln -s /lib64/libnss_winbind.so /lib64/libnss_winbind.so.2# ldconfig
But does not charge.

compiling samba-2.2.3a on free-netbsd finally solved - summary
dear list,
compiling samba on Free-/Netbsd works fine now.
Thanks to ALL who helped me out !!
Several people told me to delete the -lresolv line (11891) in the
configure script. I did that but configure script was still bleating and
bleating.
Finally I think that it was a linker problem.
On NetBSD I found out that I had neither /etc/ld.so.conf nor ldconfig.
