Roam Prof + F Redir: Logon/off merge deletes most of profile
First up, sorry for the lengthy post, but I've tried quite a lot. I've
searched the mailing lists, Google, usenet, and IRC. This post is a
last resort.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Richard
I have verified my setup follows the samba doc:

Samba Anonymous LDAP Authentication
Hello all. I have a Samba PDC server working great already. However
on another host on the network I would like to setup a Samba server
that authenticates to the same LDAP server that my Samba PDC is using.
However I want to do this anonymously without telling the second
server the admin password for LDAP. I cannot seem to find any
documentation for anonymous LDAP authentication using Samba.

Roaming profile & f-secure problem
Hi,
are there any know problems with f-secure scanner and roaming profiles?
We have a lot of users with problems syncing their roaming profile from
the domain server. It seems to be a problem with f-secure's on-access
scanning (may be timeout problem?). Some users have to login three or
four times, before getting their roaming profile and not the default
profile.

Roaming profiles won't roam via how-to
Hey folks,
I've been testing Samba 4 with some Windows 7 virtual machines and the Active Directory how-to instructions here: http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_DC_HOWTO.
As far as I can tell, the instructions work exactly as described, except when it comes to roaming profiles. When I attempt to use those, the user can log in but gets a message warning that Windows could not load their

Roaming profile and logon script on Windows XP
Hi there!
I set up samba 2.2.8a as a Windows PDC. Everything worked fine (joining the
domain, roaming profile, passwd changing) until I wanted a logon script. Now
I got the error message, that the client can not load it's profile and it
creates a temprary profile.
Without the logon script everything is fine.
Is there a collision between the logon home drive and the logon script?? Or
what

Roaming Profiles - delete profile when logging off
PDC : RedHat 7.2 // Samba 2.2.4 RedHat rpm
Clients : W2K SP1
Does anybody know how to get rid of the cached
local profiles when logging off? Since we use
FAT32 every user has access to other local replicated
profiles.
Furthermore sometimes the logon to the domain
doesn?t work the first time after logon after a cold start.
W2k claims it can not replicate/copy some files from
the users profile and

XP "logon failure" but still logs on -- no roaming profile
I'm having a problem with roaming domains on Samba v3.0-alpha21. I've
connected the machine (watertown) to the domain (precidia) via the
server (griffon). I've logged on with my userid (bcwhite) and seen
my roaming profile get created on the server upon logoff. Future logons
grab the roaming profile and everything is fine.
However, _sometimes_ I get a window with the message:

Roaming Profile files remain locked after logout/shutdown
Our floater secretaries roam around the office constantly. Recently they've
complained that they only get a temporary profile and a warning that their
romaing profile is unavailable when they move from one station to another
within a few minutes.
Looking into this I found that files in their profile remain locked after
they had logged out and even shut down the workstation they were on. I

Disabling Roaming Profiles with logon scripts or policy files?
Is there a way to disable Roaming Profiles on a
Computer, with logon scripts or policy files?
I have a network with W2K Workstation clients, but we
also have a WinXP Pro computer that we must use and
cannot install Win2K. I have read that using roaming
profiles between different windows versions can cause
problems. So I thought i could use login services from
my PDC on that computer and avoid

[LLVMdev] Failed to decode profile dump with llvm-prof
Hi, all
I'm using profiling mechanism provided by LLVM.
What I did is,
$ ./${LLVM_SRC}/utils/profile.pl hello.bc
But it turned out that llvm-prof failed to interpret
the profile dump, llvm-prof gave me the error message
below.
llvm-prof: Unknown packet type #5!
Any idea?

[LLVMdev] profile.pl (llvm-prof) crash
Hi all,
I've been trying to profile with profile.pl, and the output I get always end
up crashing with the following assert:
lvm-prof: FoldingSet.cpp:184: void** GetBucketPtr(void*): Assertion `(Ptr &
1) && "Not a bucket pointer"' failed.
(This is after it runs successfully for a while, giving me the function and
basic block frequencies).
Am I doing something wrong
