MEMDISK not working on Thinkpads
Hi all
I checked the archive and it looks like this is a known problem, but no
news since Dec 2006. So, I was wondering, is there any update on this
problem, as I've tried it on a variety of Thinkpads with up to the latest
version of syslinux/memdisk.
Thanks
Chris

SYSLINUX doing odd things since upgrade
Hello list!
I'm tearing my hair out over this. I have a USB flash drive that has been
working nicely with SYSLINUX for about a year, and I have upgraded
SYSLINUX on it a couple of times during that period with no ill effects -
including a complete format/re-install from scratch.
However, on Friday I was using this drive (and it was working) and I
decided to upgrade to the latest version

Does that mean the front end must decide between emiting bytecode for

[LLVMdev] Newbie Enquiry
Hi There,
I've just started reading about LLVM and I just wanted to make sure that
it can do what I was hoping it could do. Am I correct in assuming that
I could use LLVM as a backend for a compiler, emiting LLVM byte codes
which could either be natively compiled (Sparc and x86) or byte code
interpretted / JITed??

transforming factor back to numbers
Hi
I generate a new dataframe by doing:
npl.agg <- aggregate(npl$DensPlants, list(year=npl$year, sim=npl$sim),
mean, na.rm=TRUE )
Now I want to plot it by using
coplot(npl.agg$x ~ npl.agg$year | npl.agg$sim, type="l")
but, as npl.agg$year is seen as a factor, the order of the points on the
x-axis (time axis) does not follow the numerical sorting 1...100, but
rather the text

Not at all, there's only one version of LLVM IR, but it can

Calculating mean together with split
Hi
I have a table called npl containing results of simulations.
It contains about 19000 entries and the structure looks like this:
NoPlants sim run year DensPlants
1 6 lng_cs99_renosterbos 1 4 0.00192
.
.
.
it has 43 different entries for sim and year goes from 1 to 100, and run
from 1 to 5.
I would like to calculate the mean of DensPlants for each

mongrel_service-0.3.1 problems - service will not start
Hey, I just finished a round of testing my app with mongrel-1.0rc1
(pretty good, four segfaults and a gc error in maybe ten thousands
requests) and was moving on to mongrel_service to see if it could cope
with said segfaults and gc errors. Sadly, the service will not start. I
installed using:
mongrel_rails service::install -N nplrails -e development -p 3000
claims to be happy. When I try to

Would my Digium TDM410P cause an NMI, or is my computer failing?

selinux and tinydns
Hi all,
tinydns starts up fine, selinux reports no issues (now after a day of
clearing errors).
If I turn selinux back to permissive in /etc/sysconfig/selinux, and
reboot, tinydns responds to queries.
If I turn selinux back to enforcing and reboot, tinydns does not respond.
Monitoring /var/log/messages shows no errors from iptables/shorewall or
selinux. The only way I can find an error is

Bug? Folder tree confusion
Can anyone else confirm this behaviour:
o Open an IMAP mailbox
o Make a new folder (foo/)
o Make another new folder under foo (foo/bar)
o Delete foo
o Bar will go away and foo will remain (Outlook bug ?)
o Try and delete foo, you won't be able to because Dovecot
thinks foo is not empty and Outlook thinks it is.
This is using Dovecot 0.99.10-rc2 and MS Outlook 2000.
Don't know

AGI Helpdesk/Trouble Ticketing application
Greetings All,
I've created a sample trouble ticketing management script in perl that
allows the management of trouble tickets, call routing, etc that
interfaces with the perldesk helpdesk application.
It is mainly for an example of what integration between asterisk and real
world apps is possible.
Basic instructions are included in the script itself including

lockup problem with inbound iax calls
I've ran into a strange problem
Using current HEAD version (CVS-HEAD-12/22/04-20:45:05), Whenever anyone
calls in to my FWD number it locks the machine up good. If I go back to
the stable version (CVS-v1-0-12/23/04-07:05:33) It works fine.
I've recompiled the current HEAD version (make clean), even re-downloaded
a fresh copy from CVS with the same results.

Fortran issues. Was CRAN packages maintained by you
If there is going to be a review of Fortran sources, then there's quite
a bit of checking and testing work as well. As someone who actually
worked with some of the NPL and Argonne and other people, and
occasionally contributed some code, I'm willing to try to help out with
this. However, I will wait to be asked about specific routines.
Note that Yihui Xie and I added a Fortran engine to

problem with "dynformula" from "plm" package
Hello list,
I'm following the paper (http://www.jstatsoft.org/v27/i02/paper) on how to
use "plm" to run panel regressions, and am having trouble with what I
believe should be something very basic.
When I run the command (p.9 in the paper):
R>
dynformula(emp~wage+capital,log=list(capital=FALSE,TRUE),lag=list(emp=2,c(2,3)),diff=list(FALSE,capital=TRUE))
I see:
emp ~ wage +

ldap administration tool??
Greetings
I am nearing being prepared to get our corporate network from Active
Directory to samba3 with ldap. The last hurdle is to get an
administrative interface to the ldap repository containing the users and
Groups. I,m hoping for some recommendations.
I have attempted the following.
Samba Console:

The difficulty I'm having is that it is
