Running a GMM Estimation on dynamic Panel Model using plm-Package
Hello, although I searched for a solution related to my problem I didn?t find one, yet. My skills in R aren?t very large, however. For my Diploma thesis I need to run a GMM estimation on a dynamic panel model using the "pgmm" - function in the plm-Package. The model I want to estimate is: "Y(t) = Y(t-1) + X1(t) + X2(t) + X3(t)" . There are no "normal" instruments

Flat file as storage backend or what ...
Hi. I''m just starting out with Rails. I''m thinking of writing a web based PIM, partly as a learning experience, partly because I need one. I''ll be using iCalendar and vCard files for for storage because it will let me sync with PDAs, and use other already available PIMs. What would be the best practice for this? a) At the beginning of a session pull all my vevents

I have a CSV export file with 11 columns that I need to ''split'' into three related tables (some columns go into each table). Departments (have many projects) Projects (have many audiences) Audiences (have many projects) I understand the model relationships, and have those built. I am using FasterCSV for file importing and have that iterating through the CSV rows using a

using ActiveRecord with flat files
For the application I''m working on I would like to not save the uploaded files in the database as I have done previously. It seems more "natural" to simply store them in a directory. Now I''m thinking that it would be nice to be able to take advantage of ActiveRecord anyway - override a couple of methods, so that I can define the associations in the customary way and

Can I set up VMs in a "Flat" network?
Our small network is 10.10.11.0/24, gateway 10.10.11.252. dhcp is set up. I'm using virt-manager to install VM's with kvm-qemu on an F14 host - 10.10.11.100. qemu-kvm-0.13.0-0.6.rc1.fc14.x86_64 libvirt-0.8.3-2.fc14.x86_64 I'd like all the VM's to be on the same network as the physical machines with an address range of 10.10.11.110-10.10.11.130. I have virt-net set up. ifconfig

We are looking for a flatrate long distance provider to integrte with a hosted Asterisk implementation. I would like to have a SIP/IAX handoff to whatever carrier. We want the ability to turn LD to any of our subscribers for a flat rate as well. This request is for USA only. Int'l would be a per minute basis. Any sugggestions are greatly appreciated. flat file mailbox formats
I've tried to write the new mbox code in a way that it could be moved into generic flat-file library with mbox-specific code being implemented on top of that. The code would be useful for all formats that require modifying message headers to store the metadata. How many such are there? I suppose all such formats could be implemented by separating mails into 3 logical parts: - header

flat file dict
Hi, I'm using version 1.2.1 with acl. How do I use acl_shared_dict? Especially with file:-dictionary. What's the layout of that file? Is it possible that the file is ignored with the current version? If the file doesn't exist or isn't readable, I don' get any error message. Best regards, Sven

flat file in tmpfs for dict quota
I'm using dict quota like so: quota = dict:User quota::file:/[path]/quotas/%u [path]/quotas/ is a tmpfs. The idea is to do less work on disk. Other than forcing dovecot to rebuild quotas on a reboot, are there any downsides? Thanks, Ken -- Ken Anderson Pacific Internet - http://www.pacific.net

[1.1.1] Too much quantization on flat red surfaces
Hi, I've tested Theora on an HD-ready material, with quality 7, single pass. Resulting bitrate was 1.8Mb/s. Most parts of a movie encoded this way look fine, usually better than a DVD, and in daylight scenes, have no noticeable artifacts at all. But it seems that red surfaces are too much compressed; blocking artifacts are clearly visible on them. Also, white people have slightly smeared
