Printer drivers installation: files are not deleted
Hello all, I'm running Samba 3.5.5 on Debian 5, and following the documentation as closely as I can to install drivers using rpcclient. I first install the driver on a Windows 7 x65 workstation, then use rpcclient/smbclient to fetch the files. I then use smbclient to put those on the print$ share of the Samba server. So far, so good. Then I use rpcclient to add those files, and that

Can not connect to printer from Vista 64 - error 0x000006f7
Hello. I have a problem connecting to a printer via Samba from Vista 64-bit. Samba is configured to use printers from CUPS. When I try to connect to a printer I get a error message saying "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x000006f7)". I have managed to upload both 32 and 64-bit printer drivers from a Windows client. Connection and

samba 3.4.0: point'n'print does not work
Greetings, I upgraded my samba v3.2.4 to v3.4.0. Now point'n'print does not work. I get the error 'Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x000006f7)' when I try to connect to any printer share from a vista 32bit client. So I download v3.3.6 and install this over top. point'n'print is working for me again with v3.3.6. Any

Windows 7 Point and Print
Hello, I'm migrating from Samba 3.0.24 to 3.4.3 to add support for Windows 7 on my print server. I've kept the smb.conf essentially the same, changing only the directives corresponding to Kerberos authentication as changed in the 3.4 series. Please see http://pastebin.com/m9c0409 Note that the LPRng backend isn't installed on this server...I am only testing samba. When I go to

Joining a win2k3 ads fails
Hello, I'm trying to join a win2k3 ADS domain using a working config on a debian 'Lenny' (arm processor) from another machine running gentoo (x86 processor) (only changed the netbios name). Samba versions are 3.0.26a on both the machines. I'm pretty sure this is not a kerberos or ldap problem, anyone has a clue what else it could be? # net -d 3 ads join -U administrator

Replacing a function from one module into another one
Hi Philip, The error happens when the program finishes and it automatically calls the destructors, so it is not an error specifically inside my program. Here's the full code: #include "llvm/ExecutionEngine/ExecutionEngine.h" #include "llvm/ExecutionEngine/MCJIT.h" #include "llvm/IRReader/IRReader.h" #include "llvm/Support/TargetSelect.h" #include

Replacing a function from one module into another one
Hi Philip, Thanks for the reference, I was able to follow it and copy the code that I saw necessary, but I still have some issues (references are still not updated). I created the function: void populateVMap(llvm::ValueToValueMapTy &VMap, llvm::Function *fOld, llvm::Function *fNew) { llvm::Function::arg_iterator DestI = fOld->arg_begin(); for (llvm::Function::const_arg_iterator J =

Samba 3.0.25b + Vista Printers
Hello there I've just upgraded our Samba server to 3.0.25b and am still having problems with Windows Vista clients accessing printers. XP/2000 clients continue to work fine - but Vista refuses to connect to Samba printers that have drivers hosted on the Samba server. To clarify, as part of the netlogon batch job, clients attempt to connect to Samba-hosted printer shares, and if they

security = server, 3.0.25b
Hello, all Just attempted upgrade from 3.0.23c to 3.0.25b and had to revert. We have 2 Samba servers, one as a security = user machine, the second as a slave off the first, using security = server and password server = first server. Nothing fancy in the config. I can get to my home on the second server, but other mapped drives are giving me a user/password prompt that 3.0.23c
