Export keytab for SPN
Hello,
I am trying to export keytab by following this guide:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Generating_Keytabs
OS: CentOS 7.5
Samba: samba-dc-4.7.6-0.el7.centos.x86_64 (from Tranquil repo)
Everything seems to work, but keytab is not exported (keytab file is not
created).

yes! On the member server:
main ~ # grep ads1 /etc/passwd
main ~ # getent passwd ads1
ads1:*:13112:10513::/home/ARBEITSGRUPPE/ads1:/bin/false
This is a newly created user in the AD.

Cannot see linux machines from XP
I'll try to spell out the problem as best I can.
There are three computers on a LAN, "ADS1", "ADS2" and "DRS2".
ADS1 and ADS2 run samba-3.5.8-76.fc14.i686 under Fedora 14.
DRS2 runs Windows XP professional, SP3.
Each of them can successfully ping all the others by name.
They are all in the same WORKGROUP (GAMMA5).
The Fedora machines (ADS1, ADS2) can see all

Windows XP sees fedora14/samba3 shares but not fedora20/samba4 shares
Marc, et al,
Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I didn't mean to be confusing.
Summary of problem:
1) XP sees samba shares on fedora14/samba3 machine, but not on
fedora20/samba4 machines.
2) all fedora machines see all shares including on XP machine.
3) clicking on f20 machine from XP tries to log in rather than showing
the shares. Login is not successful.
4) all machines can ping each

No inbound or outbound
I'm trying to set up a 2nd DC. The primary is a Server 2003 (ads1).
But DNS is being done on a Linux proxy server. It appears that I have
joined correctly (wbinfo -t: checking the trust secret for domain SAMDOM
via RPC calls succeeded). But when I check inbound and outbound
(samba-tool drs showrepl) I get the following:

error: net ads join - Debian AMD64 sarge
Can anybody from our experts help please?
I had some trouble with joining a Win2003SP1 (SFU Schema is also
installed) domain in ADS mode - config files and error logs are listed
at the end.
the goal is:
-joining a Win2003SP1 domain (with SFU Schema) in ADS-mode
-authenticate with winbind / PADL against this ads-dc (also offline for
notebooks with padl cache plugin)
It would be great, if

Samba 4 dnsupdate errors
I have installed samba from source (I've tried both V4-0-stable and
v4-1-stable) using BIND9_DLZ on Ubuntu server 13.04 and I'm unable to
get samba_dnsupdate to function.
# samba_dnsupdate --all-names --fail-immediately
will return
dns_tkey_negotiategss: TKEY is unacceptable
If I then try nsupdate directly:
nsupdate -g /tmp/tmpEk4_WK
I also get:
dns_tkey_negotiategss: TKEY is

inital access need some seconds - kerberos(?) error in log - 3.0.22-1 Debian
Systems:

- Debian AMD64 with Samba 3.0.22-1 as ADS member; Users via nssldap /

On Win2003SP1 Terminalserver (ADS member, machine name: TS ; domain VW)

often some seconds (sometime time out) for open folders/files. This
occurs @ inital file/folder opening,

Creating objects from values in a "meta" dataframe
I am trying to use a meta data set with information about some repetative
analysis that I have to do for a variables measured on multiple occasions.
I think the best way to explain the problem is by using a simplified
example. So here goes:
I have a data frame called "meta" say with the following content:

TPP 0 120 -8 8

LVM related bug in the GPL PV drivers for Windows?
Dear Xen users!
In case you were struggling with recent version of th gplpv drivers,
I''ve possibly found an LVM related bug in it, and reported to James
Harper. Thats''s the point:
I''ve tested the mentioned version of your driver on top of 32bit
xen-3.2.1 32bit xen-3.3.0 and 64bit xen xen-3.3.0 hypervisors, dom0 was
always an appropriate version of a 32bit PAE kernel,
