where to report modesetting DDX bug?
Video and input drivers Subgroups and projects on gitlab does not list modesetting DDX, presumably because it's not packaged separately from the server. Where's the right place to report a modesetting DDX bug that manifests only on an NVidia GPU? Directly against the server https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver? Here are some particulars: How can I tell whether this should be

Hello, I've got a FreeBSD 5.5 box running Samba 3.0.21 and every-time I try to do a "mount -t smbfs -o username=username, password=password // server/share /mnt/folder" I get the error "smbfs: -o username=: option not supported". I've google'd this with no luck... any help in the right direction is appreciated. --- Jason Zondor

smbmount
I installed samba on a PC running SuSE 10.2, using the version from the SuSE 10.2 repository (3.0.23). All very nice, except smbmount is missing. As I understand it, this would seem to be because the version offered had not been compiled with the --with-smbmount option. Is my interpretation correct? And if so, how can I fix things? Do I have to download the source and do my own compilation

vim timestamp issues on CIFS mounted shares
First: this is my first post on this list so any suggestions, let me know. I recently had to make the move from SMBFS to CIFS when I upgraded from Fedora 4 to 5. Changing settings in my /etc/fstab was easy and no errors come up but now I'm having an issue very similar to post I found on your list that got no response back in April: http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2006-April/119813.html

[CIFS] mount error(13): Permission denied
This is from mount <mountpoint> on openSUSE 13.1m3 running 3.10.1 desktop kernel. The mountpoint and fstab entries are identical and working in openSUSE 12.3 on same system. I just spent several hours on IRC and elsewhere trying to figure this out before thinking to try booting something other than 13.1. :-( Fstab entry (redacted): //HOST/share /mountpoint cifs

How to bulk add machine accounts during PDC hardware refresh?
Greetings- I have not found discussed / documented what to do with machine accounts when moving a Samba PDC to new hardware. I have seen that uid/gid numbers must match between the old/new system. I am thinking to use adduser to accomplish that, then make the numbers on the new server match, using a text editor. After that, can I simply enter the machine account entries by hand with a text

Official Samba builds for Ubuntu?
Greetings- I am wondering if anyone from the Samba team would happen to have interest in creating official builds for Ubuntu? To add a twist, unfortunately I would not be fishing for 7.10 packages, but rather 7.04 as we ran into too many issues with 7.10 whereas 7.04 seems rock solid stable. Or, are there packages built of Samba releases for Ubuntu external to samba.org? Thanks, -- Michael
