Logon hours
Hi guys, Another quick question: I'm running Samba-3.0.9 with an LDAP backend. User logon restrictions, in terms of allowed logon hours are set by using NT's "User Manager.exe" which connects to the Samba controlled domain. The restrictions appear to work OK except when there are multiple rules for the logon hours. .e.g Logon restrictions work pefectly if the logon time is:

Could someone be kind enough to clue me in as to how to set "Logon hours allowed?" I've only found one instance of even referencing this topic: http://www.webservertalk.com/message413870.html And even this guy got no answers. This is my workstation output: ================================================== H:\>net user testuser0 /DOMAIN The request will be processed at a

Logon Hours problems
More information on my problem below. It seems that users that were only meant to kicked off at 21:00 were kicked off at 19:00. I've checked the time and timezone on the Linux server and all seems correct. I think I've messed up something somewhere to do with Samba and time and Logon Hours restrictions. Please point me in the right direction. Many thanks David Wilson From: "David

Question about Logon hours....auto logoff feature?
Can enforcing logon hours (which works great for me here to *prevent* logging in past your hours) also force a logoff? Can this at least be scripted somehow? Server is Fedora FC4 (currently samba 3.0.14a...upgrading probably by the time I get an answer to latest stable)....Windows 98SE and Windows XP Pro clients. Thanks! Mark

Samba 3 problem with users not being able to log on from some machines but they can logon from others
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated on this matter, as I am pulling my hair out. I have a Samba PDC running 3.0.2-6.3E. My problem I am experiencing is that I can have the same user (lets say John) be able to log in from workstation A. Sometimes, that user can not log into another workstation (say workstation B) on the domain. Yet other users can log into that workstation B with no problem.

Logon logging logs
I'm looking for a simple solution to log a single entry for each login to a Samba PDC. My current attempt(s) of using a root prexec script in either the [netlogon] share definition or the [global] section are working, but not exactly as expected. In [netlogon] I have an entry: root preexec = /path/to/script/makelogonscript.pl %g %u %m %I ...where makelogonscript.pl generates a
