Fstab mounting error
Hi all, I've googled on this but no luck so far. I'm using FC4. This works flawlessly: Mount -t smbfs //host/share /var/mount/hostname/sharename -o username=username,password=password,domain=DOMAIN,fmask=0777,dmask=0777 However, it fails in fstab when I do: //host/share /var/mount/hostname/sharename smbfs username=username,password=password,domain=DOMAIN,fmask=0777,dmask=0777 0 0

Strange file locking behaviour
Hi all, Bit of a sticky situation - we use rsync to mirror files from a remote staging server to our development server (both on Linux). The mirroring works fine, however, while the rsync process is running, our apache service on the destination system can't access the files. Is rsync locking the destination file system while it checks the files or something? Anyone got any idea how I

Massive confusion with samba mounting
Hi, I have a dilemma - here's some background: Up until recently, a series of local scripts that run on our network ran on a Mac OS X box. I would like to migrate these scripts to a Fedora Core 4 box (for better perl, ruby, and pythoiin support), however, the scripts use directories in the Appleshare network. I have the /Volumes directory, in which OSX mounts the shares, shared via Windows

I can connect to the remote system (an HP3000 running MPEiX 7.5) and the directory seems to mount but I cannot use it. What I get is an Input/output error: $ curlftpfs -v hahp3k01.harte-lyne.ca tmp/hp3000 * About to connect() to

astcc with multiple access
I'm looking at astcc and it seems that setting up a script that will allow multiple people to access a calling card simultaneously would be fairly difficult. Before I endevour to develop this, has anyone already done it/looked at this/can point me in the right direction? Thanks. -- Mike Nugent <asterisk@illuminatus.org>

Hi, just a note that FC6 now has the very latest of dovecot as an official update. :) It will upgrade the atrpms packages automatically to the official vendor version, there is nothing you need to take care of. -- Axel.Thimm at ATrpms.net -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... flex package marked as fc6 and no flex-devel?
Hi all, I'm in the middle of setting up a build environment for OpenWRT and it looks like the packages need flex. Looking at the CentOS repositories, it looks as though the flex package is tagged as fc6 - it also looks like there is no flex-devel package at all. Does anyone know what the go is here? 3.0.23c (FC6) and XP Pro - Error: STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
On Monday (xmas day) samba was working fine. On Tuesday it wasn't. I didn't change anything on either the Fedora Core 6 machine (relay) nor the XP Pro machine (oob2). I followed all the steps in "Procedure 38.1. Diagnosing Your Samba Server", and until I got to step 8 everything worked fine. From the broken xp pro machine: oob2$ net view '\\relay' The Server

I tried to run dropbook and it draws the window and some times the controls but it doesn't respond to mouse clicks except for the close button to which I get the not responding dialog with the force quit option which I choose. dropbook did run under

Audio playback problems with FC6 and Zaptel 1.2.16
I'm chasing down some issues at a call center. Today I received a complaint that audio file playback ceased after they upgraded the system from FC4 to FC6, Asterisk 1.2.14 to 1.2.17. Zaptel is at 1.2.16. The system in question takes inbound calls via IAX2 and has a TE410P with a couple of channel banks connected to it for analog extensions. I ultimately found that the problem goes away if I

TE212P on FC6 - stack overflow?
Hi all did anyone of you experience an error like "do_irq: stack overflow" in configuring a TE212P on Fedora core 6? The server immediately hangs, I don't know if this can be related to hardware configuration or kernel incompatibility... This problem arises when I try to configure the channels with the usual command "ztcfg" and it is strictly related to the presence of the
