Samba4 quit working after update
It was my understanding that winbind wasn't necessary for Samba4. This
server has been running for months without it.
Sanatized smb.conf:

workgroup = DCS
realm = DCS.LOCAL
netbios name = SERVER
server role = active directory domain controller
dns forwarder = 8.8.8.8

Samba4 quit working after update
Ok, thank you--that worked, but it doesn't make sense.
The server's been operational for months without winbind. Did something
change in Samba that it won't operate now without it?
I specifically remember reading that winbind wasn't necessary and, in fact,
wasn't recommended with Samba 4 AD.

NTLMv2 - wrong password with samba?
I have samba 3.0.14-5 installed (installed via Fedora Core 4's Yum)
I have enabled "client NTLMv2 auth = yes" in smb.conf
When I run "ntlm_auth --username=user --domain=MYDOM" it connects fine
(change user and MYDOM to be my user and my domain)
When I run "ntlm_auth --username=user --domain=MYDOM --diagnostics" it
fails on all tests with "wrong password"

NTLMv2 - wrong password with samba? (SOLVED)
I solved this issue by updating the 2003 AD Servers to SP1.

There is no winbindd--it was never installed. I don't recall exactly why I
didn't install it, but I seem to recall something about Samba4 in an AD
domain control role not needing it. I ended up using SSS instead.
Sanatized smb.conf:
# Global parameters

workgroup = DCS
realm = DCS.LOCAL
netbios name = SERVER
server role = active directory domain

log file format
Hi list,
Issue regarding the samba log files. In the samba configuration
file Global settings i have the parameter to
get log files of particular samba shares in the share_name.log format. For
that i have given the parameter as
log file = /var/log/%S.log
According to the docs the log files will be generated for particular shares
in the /var/log and for %S the sharename has to

in an IR pass: access the instruction pointer/BB address
Hi,
I looked through the documentation and source and am unable to find a way:
in an IR pass on basic blocks
for (auto &F : M)
for (auto &BB : F) {
....
}
I want to access the current address of the basic block. It does not
need to be the exact address of the BB, a few instructions down of that
BB is fine as well.
basically the same that I could do with an "leaq

PHP can't insert - Can someone please help
Hi Guys,
I am making another module for Voicemail. I have three fields in a POST form
that have to be connected together to make it a single 10 digit number but
there is something wrong in my syntax probably.
$npaa = "('$_POST[anpa]')";
$nxxa = "('$_POST[anxx]')";
$blocka = "('$_POST[ablock]')";
*$grplist = $npaa.$nxxa.$blocka;*

Starting/Stopping a process via web interface?
''Sup everybody?!
I''ll be wanting to start/stop a background process via RoR''s web
interface (probably by clicking a form button). When activated, this
process will do its stuff perpetually, until deactivated again. Any
ideas how to go about this? cron would probably be involved.
Thanks,
Joe

On a side note, try recently released health report tool, and see if it
does diagnose any issues in setup. Currently you may have to run it in all
the three machines.
