PESQ calculated MoS-Values for Speex
OK. Different mailing lists are set up differently. This list is unusual because your answers only go to the person who replied to you. So if you want the other people on the listserv to see your answer, you should make sure that Speex-dev at xiph.org<mailto:Speex-dev at xiph.org> is added to the TO: field of your outgoing message. Driver for C-MOS UPS
Hi, I've upgraded the driver provided by the manufacturer of the C-MOS [1] UPS, which is an argentinian company. The file I'm attaching works with nut 2.0.4, I have one C-MOS UPS and I've succesfully tested it. It would be nice to have it included in the nut codebase. I am writing a short (really short) paper about VoIP techniques, especially audio codecs for speech. I pointed out basic technologies behind audio codecs; vector quantization, lpc, long-term prediction and some

samba as client, adding to browse list
Well, I've poked around the documentation without any success... I've got several samba servers running, but I've never been required to deal with Samba as a client on a workstation until now. The workstation is RH 7.2, Samba-common 2.2.1a and it's on a LAN with a 2.2.0 server and a pile of winXX workstations (no NT). KDE is the X environment. I needed to get linpopup going to

Fwd: AQuA Meter – waveform analysis to get continous MOS scores for your network
Hi, Although this is a repost from Asterisk biz, we would like to ask if somebody may help us to develop a native Asterisk module using AQuA technology for voice quality monitoring using the same web service AQuA Meter is using. Thanks, Sevana Finland/Estonia ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Sevana Oy <sales at sevana.fi> Date: Mon, Jun 17, 2013 at 7:30 PM Subject: AQuA Meter

The MOS evaluation is subjective, not objective and actually involves getting (many) real people to listen to the audio, not just buying a product. Of course, there's tools like PESQ that attempt to guess MOS

Wavelet Bootstrap Size Simulation
I have written a short script to estimate the size of a test of non-constant mean in an AR(1) time series. When I run the simulation on my PC (R version 2.7.1), I get the expected result: an empirical size much larger than the nominal size. On the Red Hat machine (R version 2.7.2) in my department, however, I get p-values > .45 for every simulated test. Below is my simulation code (uses

voipmonitor.org
Hi, checkout new open source voipmonitor.org SIP packet sniffer.?I've developed it for my telco company and I've decided to share it. Testing and contributions are welcome! VoIPmonitor is open source live network packet sniffer which analyze SIP and RTP protocol. It can run as daemon or analyzes already captured pcap files. For each detected VoIP call voipmonitor calculates statistics

MOS Scores and LCR
Is there any tool that can do LCR for Asterisk but also take into account MOS scores? Is it possible to automatically generate MOS scores on random "calls" so as to keep an updated database on a per provider, per destination, per time-of-day score? Hopefully, with that information we can create a better LCR module or script? Thanks, Daniel

Cupsaddsmb only running "setdriver"
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi All, I downloaded a fresh cd (Debian 3.1) to install a Printserver with. I've come to the bit that I can run cupsaddsmb, and expected it to run smbclient to add the drivers to the print$ share, and then rpcclient to do the "addriver" part and finaly the "setdriver" part. Unfortunatly, it is doing only the setdriver part,
