printing issue after update to 3.6.1
Hello, we've updated to 3.6.1 yesterday, and since encounter problems with printing for some users. There's a descriptive error in the log.smbd, but I can't see what to do about it really (the rest of the, admittedly fairly ancient system, is the same base system as the previous 3.5.5 - only a couple of security updates were patched in during downtime). The message in log.smbd is:

Printer driver: different options with samba
Hello everyone, I was wondering about the behaviour of printer drivers, in relation with Samba. The printer is installed, printing on Samba goes via lprng, and Windows printer drivers are installed on the Samba server. On the other hand I have an NT4 server with the same drivers (same version) printing to the same printer over the same protocol (LPD). (BTW, the printer is an HP Laserjet

chan_sip.c problems problems from cvs 1.134
All, I've found problems in my setup with the latest couple of revisions (1.135/1.136) of asterisk/channels/chan_sip.c In my setup I have a RH9 asterisk server, AS5300 (single E1 to PSTN) and a dozen 7940's, everything is in the same VLAN and only running SIP. Outbound calls work fine: 7940 -SIP-> Asterisk -SIP-> AS5300 But inbound calls fail, I see the initial INVITE from the

Strange issue with share access on domain controllers
Hi, No change According to netbios aliases documentation, it only modify NETBIOS announce, but I'm using DNS to access the host (and it is correctly resolved since smbclient access works, shares list works on windows) Regards Le 13/07/2015 15:53, Zerwes, Klaus a écrit : > set > > netbios aliases = > > in the global section of smb.conf > > Good luck > > Klaus

Samba-4.1.18 romaing profile causes memory leak
Are you running with DHCP IP adress? ( not adviced ) i see, .. >dns forwarder = 127.0.1.1 run : hostname -i hostname -I if you see anything with 127.0.x.x Then your setup is not correct and can have problems. ( for example with authentication. ) please make sure your /etc/hosts file does not contain 127.0.1.1 of sorts. like : 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain 192.168.0.1

Problem getting share list from NetApp
We defined a share, sales_cifs_test, on our NetApp server. Note that the length of the name is longer than 13 characters. We can see the share with Microsoft Explorer. We can mount the share from Linux using smbmount. What we want to do is to get a list of shares from NetApp. The tools that can do this are the samba programs smbclient and net. Smbclient will not show names longer than 13

Dial via sip gateway?
I'm having a brain fart.... What's the proper syntax for dialing out via a sip g/w (Mediatrix)? Been trying stuff similar to: exten => _6X.,1,Dial(SIP/3091@205.22.93.1/${EXTEN-1}) where 3091 is alias for the port on the Mediatrix. Sniffer indicates * did even try the IP. Rich

Roaming Profile files remain locked after logout/shutdown
Our floater secretaries roam around the office constantly. Recently they've complained that they only get a temporary profile and a warning that their romaing profile is unavailable when they move from one station to another within a few minutes. Looking into this I found that files in their profile remain locked after they had logged out and even shut down the workstation they were on. I

Need Success Stories and Mongrel Pics
Hey Folks, I''m going to start up a success stories page and link to people. I''m looking for *short* statements about how you use Mongrel and how you love it. People who hate Mongrel should send me a private e-mail begging forgiveness. :-) Make sure to include a link to your site if it''s public. I''ll put it up tonight when I do the official 0.3.13 release.

Any success with stubbing Net::HTTP::get?
I found this link the other day, re: how to stub out Net::HTTP::get and just about flipped it was so cool: http://habtm.com/articles/2006/01/12/mocking-net-http-get. This is exactly what I needed and allowed me to right even more happy model tests. I made an http.rb in my test/mocks/test directory and added the suggested require line in my model_test.rb file. Now, he didn''t give

Anyone had success with other ORMs?
Hi, I was just wondering what levels of success people have had with other ORMs. Why did you use another ORM?.. and what benefits did it provide over ActiveRecord and others? Did it integrate well with rails? Thanks, Chris -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

write system call returning success after SCSI write failure
I am running RHEL3 server connected to a JBOD using a fiber channel HBA. I mounted a disk using ext3 file system with -o sync option on directory /mntb. Then I unplugged the fiber channel cable and did following commands. echo 1 > /tmp/file1 cp /tmp/file1 /mntb/file echo $? The cp command waited for 30 seconds and there are SCSI and file system error messages on the console as expected. I
