Winbind problem w/ ADS domain local group and other-domain members
This one is probably going off into the esoteric side of things, but Samba/winbind doesn't seem to be working quite as expected in one particular area -- domain local groups having members from other trusted domains. I've searched extensively (google and elsewhere...), and have found little/no mention of this particular problem: "domain local group" members from other

Problem with Samba-3.0.25rc3 & idmap_ldap (winbind dumps core)
In an effort to improve my lot, I'm trying to move to a ldap backend for idmap synchronization when I deploy the new 3.0.25 version on my systems. In preparation for this, I've set up some test systems -- where I'm having some problems that I think others may be encountering (according to a few comments I've seen recently). In a nutshell, I believe I have set up my ldap

ADS authentication in disjointed, multiple forest
All, I have recently come across a problem I have been unable to resolve. I have been running Samba with Winbind ADS authentication for the last couple of years with good success until recently. About 2 weeks ago, I restarted the Samba and Winbind services on a Fedora Core 3 machine runing Samba 3.0.10-1 (installed from FC3 RPMs) and the active directory authentication has started failing. Connecting samba + winbind with 2 controllers windows domains.
I have configured Samba + Winbind + AD. Currently my windows domain consists of 2 servers and all the samba settings I have it on one of them. How I can do so if one server fails windows, work with other Windows server? I have only to add to server2 to the password server option in my smb.conf? Use: samba-winbind-3.0.33 + 3.0.33 My krb5.conf: [Logging] default = FILE: / var/log/krb5libs.log

Of course is not; /opt/shares/geoportale-lizmap belongs to / > /dev/mapper/ubuntugis01--vg-root on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro,data=ordered) It should read like this: /dev/mapper/ubuntugis01--vg-root on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro,data=ordered,acl,user_xattr) Edit /etc/fstab, add those 2 options then reboot (or remount).
