permissions. My config for that share is below. Whenever I create a dir I
get 755 permissions. I have set every force permission their is. Both
configs below produced the same directory. I feel like this should be very

Hello..
File server freebsd 6.2-STABLE + samba-3.0.25a + ldap + acls

I've a situation where file locking does not seem to be functioning as expected, in that

Files have 555 and they are deletable or is it a bug ?
Hello !
I've a problem with files which are set to 0555.
For example: two users (user1 and user2)
two groups (usergroup1 usergroup2)
/daten/rechner/comp1 is set to 777.
User1 creates a file (test.txt) in the [files] share, which is correctly
set to 0555. It's owner is user1 and it's group is usergroup1.
Now user2 from usergroup2, who can correctly read but not edit

viewing, if not editing, NFSv4 ACL's from Samba shares
Good morning, folks.
I'm involved in a project to enforce NFSv4 ACL's across a variety of
storage platforms, in particular NetApps sharing NFS. That works fiine
with the NetApp NFS qtrees, but we'd like to share those with CIFS
clients as well. This works, and restricts access the way we expect
NFSv4 ACL's to work, but the Windows clients cannot view any of the
security settings

Hi all,
I am trying to figure out if you can store the definition of a directory
storage pool in a custom location.
This is how I create the storage pool:

The server is using Cups and I can print from the server and over the
net from my (Debian) laptop.
The XP box can connect to the server and browse
