even compile and even after patching then though compiling - crashes...
So I asked on swig-users/swig-devel CC'ing the potential R maintainer
but I never received a reply. I now wonder if anyone here could help or
would be willing to maintain

Hi,
> What compiler are you using to build with? I've made it default to clang with less looking around for llvm-gcc, so there may be an issue there. What is your configure line? What host are you trying to build on?
First I have compiled llvm/clang compiled with "gcc (Gentoo 4.5.2 p1.1,
pie-0.4.5) 4.5.2". Then I have installed llvm/clang. They are in the
path:
$ clang

[RFC] running octave, python from within R
Dear all,
a Shogun 0.7.1 is out and available at http://www.shogun-toolbox.org
which contains one new feature that might be of interest to
R users. The eierlegendewollmilchsau interface. In
case you don't know what this term stands for use google images :-)
It is one file that will interface shogun to octave,r,python, matlab. It
provides commands to run code in foreign languages:

predictive modeling and extremely large data
Hi,
I am new to R and here is what I am doing in it now. I am using machine
learning technique (svm) to do predictive modeling. The data that I am using
is one that is bound to grow perpetually. what I want to know is, say, I fed
in a data set with 5000 data points to svm initially. The algorithm derives
a certain intelligence (i.e.,output) based on these 5000 data points. I
have an additional

I found Shogun in a shop as a 'Classic' game and I've been trying to get
it to work using Wine.
Shogun uses Safedisc and so does not work in it's, ahem, original form.
However it can, shall we say, be persuaded to get over it's
difficulties and at least run.
This is where I am now. I have the game running and

[LLVMdev] Building bitcode modules
Hi,
I have updated llvm to the 113aa8612010434069fc5b5e09f6b2667e03e173 git
commit. I have a small llvm project that builds a bitcode library, so I
used MODULE_NAME=foo to build foo.bc. Now, I cannot build the library,
because a compatible compiler cannot be found (Makefile.rules:1052).
I have seen that configure.ac has been modified, so:
1) there is an update in progress?
2) I have to use

smbldap-tools updates (diffs)
Hi all,
I have found the smbldap-tools provided in the samba 3 tarball to have a
few glitches with the samba 3 schema. I have made my changes and 'diffed'
them with the source.
root@localhost # pwd
/usr/local/samba/sbin
root@localhost # for i in *.p*; do echo $i; diff $i
/usr/local/src/samba-3.0.0rc4/examples/LDAP/smbldap-tools/$i; done

sambaPwdMustChange not properly set with smbldap
I'm using samba 3.0.6 on fedora core 1 with LDAP enabled and smbldap-tools.
When I change a user password with smbldap-passwd <username>, i find that
sambaPwdMustChange attribute is correctly set to 30 days later as set in
smbldap_conf.
But, if I try to change password from any Win2000 or WinXP client with
CTRL+ALT+CANC --> CHANGE PASSWORD i notice that sambaPwdMustChange attribute

smbldap-tools problem
Hi!
I'm installing Debian Sarge with Samba 3.0.14a-3, OpenLDAP 2.2.23-8,
smbldap-tools 0.8.7-4 ( I tried with 0.9.x version also)
It isn't the first time I install a system like this but this time I
encountered a problem never seen: during user insert I have an error because
of smbldap-tools do not find indicated group (but group exists!).
So:
