Using Windows ACL on a samba3 share
Hello again,
I am using samba 3.5.6. I have another though maybe this problem occurs due to my OpenLDAP service? My /etc/openldap/slapd.conf is using:

by * read
access to dn.base="cn=Subschema"
by * read
access to attrs=userPassword,userPKCS12
by self write

Setting up new Samba domain (again)
Hi!
I'm trying to get a Samba-based domain working properly. I'm using an
LDAP backend. Right now all the users have been created, and machine
accounts as well - but some things at the domain level aren't 100%.
Adding new machines usually results in a error, which I get around and
then have it working - but I continue to see error messages in the
logs. I'm assuming

Group Members and usersidlist problem
I have been setting up samba 3.0.20b on Solaris 9 with a Sun Java System
Directory Server v5.2 and have hit a couple of problems.
The first is that if I run the command
/net rpc group MEMBERS Staff -U administrator
after prompting for the password it just gives the result of a blank line.
Looking through the ldap logs it appears that samba finds the correct group
mapping but then looks up the

AW: SAMBA 3 as PDC - W2K/WXP Pro logon trouble
Oh, so you are using ldap..., well I'm still working with smbpasswd as
backend :-(
Anyway, I tried 'net getlocalsid' for the domain-sid -> ok
Next 'net usersidlist' which should show me the user-sids -> didn't
work: "[2004/03/04 06:40:05, 0, pid=31232, effective(0, 0), real(0, 0)]

[LLVMdev] Nightly Test Page Busted?
If I click on a "View Details" link for a particular nightly test, my browser
sits there waiting until I tell it to stop. I something wrong with the
server? I thought I could do this ok yesterday.

[LLVMdev] Nightly Test Page Busted?
I had the same problem, actually. Is the HTML file just too heavy?
It makes it hard to compare results from your workstation against the
buildbots.

Has there been a spike in traffic recently? Or maybe I just got lucky

9.58 ies4linux busted: Repository with 9.44?
My debian Synaptic just updated me with winelib 9.58, which I should have been looking out for - because winelib 9.58 totally messes up internet explorer's display of pages with fixed backgrounds. (Repeated images, garbles everything). But winelib 9.44 is Ok, so I need to downgrade. Does anyone know of a repository that has winelib 9.44? Thanks.

CVS busted?
I can update single files fine (although slowly), but when I try to update anything bigger (like vorbis/lib), it just hangs until I get:
cvs [update aborted]: reading from server: Operation timed out
Is something wrong with the CVS box?

But it appears the solution now "shipping" only handles square matrices.

Busted ACLs
It has been a while since I have had to annoy you. You may be pleased to
know that my server has been working quite well...until recently. I
think it is because of a power hit we took recently.
I don't know which came first, but I have four symptoms:
1) When I log in on a Windows machine, with an account that should have
administrator permissions, I don't have said admin rights.
2)

Centos 7 as gateway - UDP performance is busted/awful?
I just replaced a dead system disk on my KVM host that was
running an ancient fedora 13. Since centos 7 was available,
I decided to go with it to get some long term stability.
The problem is that NFS mounts inside the virtual machines
don't work for spit when talking to older NFS servers that
must speak UDP.
Is there something about UDP traffic that requires tweaks
I don't know about for

[LLVMdev] Nightly Test Page Busted?
We are experiencing serious load/memory issues on llvm.org and
unfortunately, there is not anything we can do about it. This means
that because the nightlytest page needs to access a mysql database, it
will be very very slow. Bugzilla will be slow too.
We have a machine being ordered, but it will take time to arrive and
time to setup.
Until then, I'm asking people to please try to be

Help wanted: configure test for busted mmap
Linux 2.2 (and probably others) have a deficient mmap which has caused a
number of problems (e.g. bug #285).
A workaround is in development, but it would be helpful to have a
configure test to detect the bad mmaps().
Any takers?

RH init scripts busted ?
Hi,
I''m just getting started with puppet, and using the RPMS provided
(on CentOS 4.3), and RedHat''s killproc is annoying me again.
The process is called ''ruby'' instead of ''puppetmasterd''.
$ ps 7869
PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND
7869 ? Ss 0:00 ruby /usr/sbin/puppetmasterd [ etc ]
So, service puppetmaster

groupmapping impossible?
Does someone know how to do this group mapping in samba? why does "net
groupmap x y" has no effect? If I map a domain group to a local group,
then the members of the domain group should be treated as members of
the local group, or not?

belongs_to relation busted....why?
Ok, been banging my head on this and just can''t figure it. Normally, any
table that has a belongs_to to another table you can easily access it
by:
table1.table2.field
And it works perfectly for one table I have. Let''s call it... tags. So,
I''ve got:
Tag -> has_many :blah_tags
Blah -> has_many :blah_tags
Blah_tag -> belongs_to :tag, belongs_to :blah
Ok, works

Session handling busted on Oracle
Hi,
Ruby 1.8.6 (one-click)
Camping 1.5
I''d submit this as a bug, but the tracker says I''m forbidden, so here
you go.
The first problem is that the sql to create the sessions table is
broken. This is what it tried to send:
CREATE TABLE sessions (
id NUMBER(38) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY (38), --> Problem here
hashid VARCHAR2(32),
created_at DATE,
ivars CLOB DEFAULT
