PDC + LDAP, cannot access LDAP when not root
I'm using Debian Sarge, Samba (3.1.14a) with the ldapsam backend, and OpenLDAP (2.2.23). When attempting to join an Windows XP+SP2 computer (BILLGATES) to my domain (WORKGROUP), using the Administrator account, I am told by windows: 'Access denied.' My problem is that my VPS is charging my by all VM (among other resources) used by my server. In my case running a more or less simple windows application is taking more than 18 GB of VM. Print Server Decision
I would really appreciate some help on deciding how to replace my NT Print Servers. Currently I'm running Samba 2.2.2 on Suse 7.0 on a s/390. I've setup SPOOLSS with 11 Printers at the moment and I'm experiencing some errors in the logs. These two errors are dispersed throughout the log.smbd file: [2002/03/07 10:33:45, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe_hnd.c:open_rpc_pipe_p(144) ERROR!

Clients hang on file access - Samba 3.0.6
Hi all, I've included copies of the relavent files below. I'm having a bit of a problem with Samba in that when I try to access files on its shared resources, I can browse to the shares fine, but the moment I try to open a file, the client's file browser hangs. I've verified that this is a problem on both my Mac (OS X 10.3.4), my Windows XP SP2 and WIndows XP SP1 machines. I'm
