Dual boot Win98 Centos sharing files
Greetings -
I have searched the mailing list archives and my Samba 3 book and have not
seen this issue addressed anywhere. My home desktop box has Win98 installed
on a 20 GB drive and Centos 4.4 on a 160 GB drive with a Grub menu for
selecting which OS to boot. I am wondering if it is theoretically possible
to share (read and write) files on the Linux drive when booted to Window,
and vice

xfreerdp and SPNEGO failed
hi,
as far as i know, it has todo with some right conflict in windows or corruption in the profiles, if its a roaming profile, back it up, and rebuild a new one if its only with one user. If its user independed then its in the ‘system’ setting.
the nla part. thats where i would think off also, . a wild guess, a right problem with a windows system user/group in sid/rid translations with samba. i

ogginfo: playlength display in milliseconds
Hello
Some time ago I posted a lil' patch to this list which adds milliseconds display of
playlength to ogginfo. Some folks replied that it's plausible and this patch will be
merged to the next version. Vorbistools-1.0.1 got out and the patch is not in it. Why?
Anyway, here's this patch for vorbistools-1.0.1. I hope this time you will include it,
because milliseconds support is

[LLVMdev] Implementing llvm.atomic.cmp.swap.i32 on PowerPC
Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out how to add the instructions required for
llvm.atomic.cmp.swap.i32 on PowerPC. I figured out LWARX (patch
attached) but the other two (CMP_UNRESw and STWCX) require multiple
instructions:
let Defs = [CR0] in {
def STWCX : Pseudo<(outs), (ins GPRC:$rS, memrr:$dst, i32imm:$label),
"stwcx. $rS, $dst\n\tbne-

broken ogg file
Hi, I have a broken ogg file. ogginfo reports the playback length as
1:14
Both xmms and ogg123 report the length correctly at 5:19.
So I re ripped the wav and re-encoded the file, same thing.
I am uploading the ogg at the moment (it might take an hour) if anyone
wants to have a look.

I dont know if it will help, but I really cant upload wav, a my modem

read the middle of a file
Hello,
The other day Justin Peter presented a mini program to plot a topographic map with an overlay of the worldHires. I seemed interesting so I checked the ETOPO5 site and find that there is a new file ETOPO1 with a 1 minute grid. I downloaded it and tried a similar procedure. Now the ETOPO1.gz is 1 Gb and the uncompressed file is 5 Gb. They do not fit into my laptop. I tried the following

I got a core file this morning.
opening it with gdb I get this:
(gdb) core imap.core
Core was generated by `dovecot/imap'.
Program terminated with signal 6, Aborted.

I've just enabled core dumps on the involved FreeBSD system. Let's see if
it dumps something..

xfreerdp and SPNEGO failed
hi everyone
I realise this not exactly on topic, I'm hoping an expert or
two could confirm that following is not caused somehow by samba:
I try xfreerdp to connect to a Win10 which is a member of
NT-style domain and it fails this way:
[14:55:33:905] [8048:8055] [ERROR][com.freerdp.core.nla] -
SPNEGO failed with NTSTATUS: 0xC0000017

modify only, not deletable
Hi folks,
I have a samba file server joining a Windows 2k AD as member server.
I wonder how I can setup the files on the samba share to be modifiable
by users, but no one can delete them. Is it possible? linux chattr
command doesn't seems to help, and I can only setup windows share
permission (full control, read, write) for the samba files from windows
interface, not NTFS detailed permissions.

This should work, though I won't have access to my test box now until
next Thursday so no guarantees :)

Ah, didn't see that, that's what comes of trying to do something at
5pm :) I attached an updated patch which creates a virtual register
instead of using R0. How does this look?
Cheers,
