Samba2.x trusting samba3 domain
Hello,
I have a samba 2.x domain.
On another machine I created a samba3 domain (ldap).
I want to migrate my users from samba2 domain to samba3 domain.
It will take some time so I need a trust relationship between domain
Can I establish a bidirectional trust relationship between those domain ?
Using google I found how-to for samba3 but not for samba2.
What is the samba2 equivalent command of :

Problem installing a particular printer WinXP/Samba2. 2.7a
Has the driver for this printer been installed on
the samba server? If it has, it may have to be
reinstalled.
If the 4550 can't be installed on the server,
you can create a printer share for
[picasso] and use:
use client driver = yes
path = /var/spool/public
create mode = 0700
printable = yes
public = yes
browseable = yes
Then the Win2k/XP clients will install the driver

HFSC
Hi:
I am using a machine with the 2.4.26 kernel, and trying to compare the
performance of the HTB qdisc with the HFSC one. I have the following
simple script that allows me to have a video stream on port 1234 while
it limits a ttcp UDP stream so that the video stream is unimpaired.
#!/bin/bash
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 12
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:1

Samba4 Secondary DC Replication Concerns
Hi Folks
If I have 2 x Samba4 AD DCs, a primary and secondary, am I correct in assuming that if I add a Windows Client to the DOMAIN it should eventually replicate to the secondary DC?

[PATCH v2 2/2] xen/arm: initialize the GIC irq properties of interrupts routed to guests
We are currently initializing GIC irq properties (ITARGETSR, IPRIORITYR,
and GICD_ICFGR) only in gic_route_irq, that is not called for guest
interrupts at all.
Move the initialization into a separate function
(gic_set_irq_properties) and call it from gic_route_irq_to_guest.
Changes in v2:
- rebased on 77d3a1db3196b1b5864469f8d3f41d496800c795.

samba3 upgrade misery
Greetings, all
We've been running samba2 for far too long - I'd just never found the time to
upgrade, and it wasn't a priority since it WORKED. Our little Solaris9/SPARC64
box happily served our few gigs of files to 20 users, and played the part of a PDC.
Then I upgraded CUPS, and discovered samba2 doesn't like cups-1.2 libs, and
figured it was as good an excuse to make the

packet retiming
Hi:
Is there a way to retime a flow in order to compensate for jitter? For
example, RTP has timestamps which would enable retiming. Or you could
be simpler and just make the exit interval equal to the average intrance
interval. I''m sure there are even better ways that I just haven''t
thought of.

Schema replication error with W2008R2
Hi,
We have 3 samba 4.9.13 AD DC servers (mercurio1, mercurio2, mercurio7), replicating without error.
When we add a W2008R2 as additional DC (mercurio3) replication works fine until 24h pass and it fails.
On the samba4 DCs side, the command
samba-tool drs showrepl
shows no error. On the W2008R2 side the command
repadmin /showrepl
shows inbound replication error from the 3 samba DCs, and

Is there a way to allow empty user (NULL) to connect to samba3 as nobody/guest from W2K/XP workstations?
Hi,
After switching to samba3 I've noticed that it doesn't allow
connections with empty usernames with security = user anymore.
Samba2 mapped empty user to nobody, is there a way to achieve such
behavior? It is needed for compatibility - we still have lots of W2k
workstations that allow passing empty usernames in login prompts (as
opposed to XP).
Adding null/NULL to

security=share, write / read-only mix doesn't work on Samba3
Hi,
I'm having trouble migrating from Samba2 to Samba3. I'm trying to make
a share that allows some users read-only access, and others
read-write. In version 2.2 this worked, but not in version 3.
I'm pretty sure it's my configuration, but I ran into this link on the
samba bugzilla site, and now I don't know.

list manipulation
Hello,
I have a set of one-liners (many thanks to previous responses from this
list) that I use to look at newly imported data sets with functions like
dim(), names(), str(), etc. within lapply(). Generally, these commands
work for me but, I am apparently still missing some aspect of list
manipulation. I don't understand why I get a set of NULL list elements
at the end of each output as

define using configuration file
Hi,
I have a define that use a configuration file. Most of the time this is
the same configuration file. Here this is a rsync configuration file.
The issue is that i want the define to take care of the management of
the file as only this define use it:
define filevault( $source, $destination, $recursif = ''true'',
$deletesource = ''delete'', $exclude =
