Sweave rendering of simple character
Hi, When I compile the construction \begin{Scode}{eval=FALSE} ?HSP \end{Scode} with Sweave and latex, it outputs in the pdf as, > `?` (HSP) which is not incorrect but a bit more formal than I wanted for demonstrating the use of the help shortcut. I would like the output to look like, > ?HSP but I can't seem to make this work. I have also tried the results=verbatim argument.

openvpn/shorewall tunnel problem
Dear list, I am having a problem with openvpn. I have the following arrangement, running two instances of openvpn on "home fw". I want to protect my WLAN in back of the home fw and that works fine. I can see "Peer connection initiated with 192.168.1.3:5000" in daemon.log on homefw. Nothing gets initiated with officefw, nor can I ping the other end of the tunnel at officefw.

Most users will use the router provided by Telekom. Anyway, after 15 seconds of Google'ing for Magenta Zuhause and SIP, maybe this will help you:

Sharing AD domain info with 2 SBS2003 servers
When I took over as the IT guy in September, there were 2 separate locations with different domains each managed by a SBS 2003 machine. The connection between them was an OpenVPN tunnel. The network was fine and one could see 2 domains in the network. Local and Local2 are working names. From a workstation on Local one could see Local2 in the Microsoft Windows Network, and vice versa from Local2

Asterisk and Deutsche Telekom
Hi list! I think there are many german users in this ML, that use Asterisk with the new line of Deutsche Telekom (Magenta Zuhause). My ISDN will be converted in Juli (Kaboom-day at Juli, the 3rd...) and right now I can just hope, that I configured my Asterisk well to work with Deutsche Telekom, but I cannot be sure, since I can't test it... So my question: can someone using Asterisk with

Cannot Authenticate to Samba Shares after switching laptop from wired to wireless nic.
I have a laptop that I need to be able to connect to my samba shares with its wired connection and its wireless connection. It works fine when connecting from the wired ethernet connection but it stops working once I disable the wired connection and connect to the wireless network (both networks are on the same subnet). The IP address for the wired connection is 192.168.1.112

OpenVPN tunnel and one-way audio - Do I still need a SIP proxy? (bruce bruce)

As far as I know, OpenVPN doesn't do higher-level-protocol rewriting of any sort. It just provides the "bit pipe" through the tunnel. I'd suggest several other

Signaling incoming call
Hi list! Finally I got my Asterisk works with my two phones... It was a problem on my Firewall (for the phone of my wife) and on my Dialplan (for forwarding calls). Now all works as expected, at least in the simulation I did with AsteriskNOW. Hopefully it will work later, when Deutsche Telekom changes my ISDN to VoIP... Well, now I have some time to spend with "fooling"... My phone

nfsmount default timeo=7 causes timeouts on 100 Mbps
I can't explain why 700 msecs aren't enough to avoid timeouts in 100 Mbps networks, but my tests verify it, so I'm writing to the list to request that you increase the default timeo to at least 30, or to 600 which is the default for `mount -t nfs`. How to reproduce: 1) Cabling: server <=> 100 Mbps switch <=> client Alternatively, one can use a 1000 Mbps switch and

OpenVPN tunnel and one-way audio - Do I still need a SIP proxy?
Hi Everyone, I have setup an OpenVPN tunnel between Server A (running Asterisk) and Server B suppling it's SIP Phones with DHCP pool of IPs. So, the tunnel is established nicely and everyone can ping others. "sip show peers" shows the local subnet of the SIP Phones registered (192.168.100.0/24 ). But there is the old bad one-way audio. Calls also drop after few seconds. In the SIP

iptables - Forwarding with port translation thru an OpenVPN tunnel
Perhaps someone with a sharper brain than I can solve this little mystery. I've Googled until I'm blue in the face, read all TFM's I can find, and tried several iptables rule combinations but just can't get the following to work. Here's my challenge: I have a CentOS-5.3 "main" server with a static public IP address running Apache, OpenVPN, and a bunch of other

TINC and OpenVPN tunnel performance on a Windows client
Hi, I had some performance problems with TINC running on Windows XP. I had a VPN tunnel running over a wireless network to a Linux VPN server. Web browsing through the tunnel was a pain. Big web pages with lots of pictures loaded very slow compared to a plain network connection. When the VPN client was running on a Linux computer, and a Windows computer was browsing the web through the VPN

Routing all connections through a OpenVPN tunnel
Hi all, I have set up a working OpenVPN2 connection between my Server and my gateway at home. Now I want all traffic to be routed through this VPN connection. Currently everything is going through eth1 to the internet (to the gateway of the University which forwards it to the internet :-). We must use a prox-server and because of this I am not abel to watch the real-Media streams on

dom0 won''t boot - iwlagn MAC is in deep sleep
Hi all, I''ve got a T61p running ubuntu 9.10, it runs kernel 2.6.31.20-server perfectly with no hiccups. I recently decided to play around, and compiled a 2.6.32-10 pvops kernel, and installed xen-4.0.0-rc9. When I try and boot as dom0, sometimes it works, and sometimes it loops an Error message: *iwlagn: MAC is in deep sleep* * * *I searched around on google, but no one seems to be
