access denied to shares on samba 3
Hi,
I have samba-3.0.23d-1tr on a trustix 3.0 system.
This samba was joined to a win 2k3 domain and it works perfect for lot of months.
Now I can access only to tmp share, and samba server is sometimes slow to expose all shares.
If I launch wbinfo ?u or wbinfo ?g, I still see the users/group from win2k3 server, but in the log of my winxp client (whose name is Euro15), I see:

Strange Samba permissions
Hi,
I am really stuggeling with Samba, searched forums and checked tutorials, so far with no success. So you are my last resort and probably the first place I should have checked, but I am completly new to mail groups, so please be patient with me.
Users can log in to the Samba PDC domain successfully and get the login script executed just fine.
But:

Lots of "Failed to create" error messages after upgrading to 2.0.25c
Hello,
I recently upgraded from Samba 3.0.22 to 3.0.25c on Solaris, and after doing
so I noticed a sudden proliferation of new error messages in the Samba log,
such as:
[2007/08/27 15:36:03, 2] smbd/sesssetup.c:setup_new_vc_session(1200)
setup_new_vc_session: New VC == 0, if NT4.x compatible we would close all
old resources.

wbinfo -a not working
Hello,
I'm trying to connect my Debian 4 samba box to my Windows 2003Server Active
Directory.
I successfully joined the domain, with net ads join. Wireshark captures a
lot of packets going over the wire, and I get the message "joined the domain
successfully". In my AD, under 'computers', the samba box appeared. So that
all works.

Samba and Win98
I have a friend that had a samba server go down. They switched to another
server and are having problems with people logging into it from Windows
98. If the same user logs in from WinXp then everything works otherwise
they get an error. He also said that the smb.conf files were the same on
both servers.

Need help getting roaming profiles to work
Hi!
First, let me apologize for the length of this message. I wanted to
include as much relevant info as I could and it got a bit lengthy.
For reasons that I won't bother to detail here, I ended up
volunteering to upgrade the server at my kids school. It's a small
private school with an all-volunteer tech support staff (me!). We
currently have about 40 computers serving about 150 people.

OpenLDAP integration
I've followed the OpenLDAP + SAMBA Domain Controller tutorial
step-by-step: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=640760
And after long hours, and enless googling, I've yet to find a solution.
LDAP works great
SAMBA works great.
But the intergration between them don't work.
Here is the samba log:
root:/etc# tail /var/log/samba/log.smbd
smbd version 3.0.28a started.

Is 'force user/group' misbehaving?
Hello list,
I'm running ubuntu server 7.10 amd64 and trying to set up a samba server for
a LAN.
Samba version is 3.0.26a IIRC (I can't access the machine ATM)
I'm stumped with a problem and I believe it's related, somehow, with the
'force user' parameter, so I created this testcase to seek for help...
In the example smb.conf I'm trying to create one share accessible

How can I remove these log entries 'Failed to create Users' and 'Failed to create Administrators'
Hi,
I have a very small setup, one XP/clinet and one Vista/client and a Ubuntu/samba server.
I like to cleanup my log.smbd but I can't figure out how!
I have everything up and running and I can access the share's from the XP client.
I googled around and it seems that I should bind some Windows group/user against Unix group/users
with something like 'net groupmap add rid=2512
