Nouveau DRM failure on 5120x1440 screen with 5.8/5.9 kernel
I'm having a problem with both the 5.8 and 5.9 kernels using the nouveau DRM driver. I have a laptop with a VGA card (specs below) connected to a 5120x1440 screen. At boot time, the card correctly detects the screen, tries to allocate fbdev fb0, then the video hangs completely for 15-30 seconds until it goes blank. This used to work in Linux 5.7 and earlier, although it allocated a 3840x1080

Need fax solution for 1.4.xx
Anybody know a reliable fax solution for 1.4.30 branch? I am using PikaFax on another server and works very well (about 3000 faxes a week), but it appears they no longer offer their product to open source asterisk, only for there "WARP" appliance. NOT really looking to migrate from 1.4.x to 1.6.x -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

libvorbis-1.0 bug with solaris 5.8 re: apsort
I have found a bug in libvorbis-1.0. I have found a fix, but need to know in what format and to where to sumbit the patch. It involves a quirky qsort in Solaris 5.8 that dumps core without the patch. The fix involves editing vorbis/lib/psy.c <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a

libvorbis-1.0 patch for Solaris 5.8 buggy libc qsort.
Solaris 5.8 has a quirky qsort that requires the ability to recognize elements as equal. here is a patch I have created to deal w/ this problem. I apologize if the patch is in the wrong format and would love to be corrected if wrong. I used the following to create the patch libvorbis-1.0> diff -u lib/psy.c lib/psy_new.c > libv.patch <p><p><p><p> --------------

Openwindows run on remote machine on OpenSSH_3.9p1 solaris 5.8
Hi, I've had some strange recent behaviour from ssh (OpenSSH_3.9p1 Solaris 5.8). I have an application that runs a script that run a remote command over ssh, however rather than running the command ssh tried to run openwindows (an xsession app, i think). Every time the application ran the command the same issue would occur, until the application was restarted. The command it should have been

Sun Solaris 5.8 Beta-Refresh i386
Samba 2.0.5a worked great on my earlier Sun Solaris 7 (5.7) Intel version. But with Solaris 8 (5.8), smbstatus reports that root did not create the semaphore; failed initialize share modes . . . . Is there a samba version out there that has been tested on above platform? And if so, where. Thanks much. Cole Ragland Systems Interface Analyst Phone: 619-938-7116 Pager: 877-727-2856 FAX:

Compiling R-1.5.0 failed on Solaris 5.8
Greetings! When compiling R-1.5.0 on Solaris 5.8, I got the following error message (see below). I've been using R-1.4.0 with no difficulties. I renamed the previous R installation to R-1.4.0 (following suggestions of an earlier post by Peter Dalgaard) before compiling R-1.5.0. And I've checked that the enviornment variable R_LIBS is not set. Is there something I overlooked? Any

Transform and "Lenses xx and xx could be used to load this file"
Hi David, We have a general problem using Augeas in libguestfs and I wonder if you have any advice. The problem is that we often -- as with yesterday's patch -- add new config file paths to lenses. Or we want to parse config files which are not necessarily in the exact paths that Augeas is expecting. Now it's easy enough to parse such files using an arbitrary lens by calling

Dividing one column of form xx-yy into two columns, xx and yy
I have a data set where one column consists of two numerical factors, separated by a "-". So my data looks something like this: 43-156 43-43 1267-18 . . . There are additional columns consisting of single factors as well, so reading the csv file (where the data is stored) with the sep="-" addition won't work since the rest of the factors are separated by commas. So first

CPU Problem on Solaris and 2.2.2
Hi we have a pretty nasty CPU usage problem running Samba 2.2.2 on Solaris (SunOS infpdb01.atinfopop.com 5.8 Generic_108528-03 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-80) The server was coping OK with the load then 'something changed' and CPU usage has been climbing over the last couple of weeks. I've posted CPU, config files and a sambastatus snapshot below. Other information that may be helpful: -

isolinux 3.xx bug very maybe?
Is the new Isolinux series effecting hardware in a different way as 2.xx series? I'm getting a system crash in VMware. I guess this is a Vmware issue, but thought you might want to know. 2.xx series works OK for me. I get to see 8 dots when loading a 360KB imagefile, following by crash message mentioned below. Replacing MEMDISK by old version does not matter, only replacing isolinux.bin 3.05
