Samba 3.0.31 stills fails to read and write to socket.
Hi,
I recently upgraded my servers from 3.0.28 to 3.0.31 trying to solve the
winbind issue previously reported (Bug# 5551) but the issue is still
happening in my servers.
I have an ftp server (vsftpd), configured to use pam_winbind with krb5_auth
and I see some random disconnects and my users cant login. My samba servers
are member of a Windows 2003 domain.

Winbind 3.0.25-pre2 problems with sid2uid
Hi,
I have tested winbind in samba-3.0.25-pre2 and encountered some problems. We have a working config with Linux samba-3.0.23d and W2k3 AD R2 rfc2307bis, but when I switch to 3.0.25 it stopped working. I am not quite familiar with the new configuration directives for idmap, but the old config did not work either with 3.0.25, so I tried to use the new ones.
Is there apparent errors in my config

S4-Winbind dumping core on password
Samba4-winbind (sernet-samba-4.0.9) on RHEL 6.4 dumps core on password authentication for a domain user (su/sudo), and so domain password authentication fails.? The machine is a standalone server in a Windows AD (2008R2) domain.
PuTTY logins using GSSAPI work fine, kdestroy/kinit succeeds with AD password, but su'ing to the userid from a puttty session fails. The issue seems to be related to

Winbind: SID2UID looks in own domain only ?
Hi,
Trusting domain: DOMA
Trusted domain : DOMB
We are running samba-winbind 3.0.24 and have problems when
authenticating user from a trusted domain (DOMB) (idmap backend = ad) in
to DOMA.
After some investigations, we found that when we are trying to login as
a user from DOMB, it seems that sid2uid looks in own domain only, and
fails to retrieve uid from sid.
In DOMA:
wbinfo -m shows the

SIGSEGV with pam_winbind kerberos authentication
Hello,
I can't get Kerberos authentication works with my Linux clients.
Server : samba 4.1.4 (compiled from source)
Client : Debian Wheezy with sernet-samba 4.0.17-8
Without Kerberos authentication, everything works :
-> the domain users can log with pam_winbind (with ssh, gdm ....).
-> "kinit myuser at MYREALM" works fine.
-> "wbinfo -K MYDOM\\myuser" works.

Winbind offline logon
Hi,
I have a question about Winbinds offline logon capabilities.
We are working on integration of laptops with winbind in to our Linux Workstation Managment System, but have some difficulties to verify the desired functionality. For that we are running the latest samba (currently 3.0.25rc1) . Authentication is setup against Windows AD 2003 with R2 extensions (rfc2703bis) .

solution: wbinfo -K not working
Hi!
The problem lies in the "winbind separator" settings. If I use
winbind separator = \\
everything goes well.
I believe this is due to a bug. As I don't want to register to yet another
bugzilla, please someone issue the report there.
Explanation:
winbindd_raw_kerberos_login uses parse_domain_user to
generate the kerberos principal from state->request.data.auth.user

samba performance issue
Hi, I recently installed a new samba server to replace an older Novell
machine. Now, we are having performance issues. I have installed many
samba servers, and have not run into this problem before. Some background
info:
The server is an Athlon 1800+ w/ 512MB DDR RAM. We are using software raid
on 80GB IDE ATA 100 drives with the VIA 82C3XX chipset. When mirroring the
drives, we usually get
