Shorewall DNAT to IPSET
I would like to dnat certain protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH) to the
contents of an ipset (lan:+serviceshost or similar) where the ipset is
ensured to contain only one host, but can be changed dynamically when
services are in maintenance mode and go to the "services are down"
message on another server. Will this work, or am I barking up a fish here?

shorewall will be in the next openSUSE release
Hi,
Just to pass the news [1],shorewall firewall package will be part of the
next openSUSE release, meaning users would not need to set up an extra
repository (of course they can always choose to follow the development
repo).
Thanks to all answering my questions

[ -z "${haveroute}${g_noroutes}" ] && qt $IP -4 route del
$address/32 dev $interface

flac-1.0.3_beta released
Awesome, I'm psyched for 1.0.3.... the ID3v1 winamp2 support will be a
neat addition, as is the faster decodes. Will 24-bit audio play nice with
the final public version of 1.0.3?

Dual ISP config: How to forward DNS requests to the proper server?
I''m using Shorewall with a load-balanced muti-ISP config along with LSM for
failover. It''s working great, except for DNS requests. I''d appreciate some
advice on how to best configure this.
The WAN connections are a T1 through XO and a cable connection through
Comcast. About 80% of the traffic is routed out the Comcast connection
under normal connections. I would

flac-1.0.3_beta released
Which plugins do you mean? I thought I remember Winamp, for instance,
being able to do word-length reduction on the fly. The only place I
can find this feature is in the Monkey's Audio codec plugin, though.
Anyway, great news Josh! Thanks for making 24-bit audio support in FLAC a
priority. :)

24-bit audio?
According to
http://flac.sourceforge.net/format.html#metadata_block_streaminfo :
"FLAC supports from 4 to 32 bits per sample. Currently the reference encoder
and decoders only support up to 24 bits per sample. "
This is why I'm confused. I though one of the benefits of FLAC was it's
ability to encode in word lengths longer than 16 bits.

Hello, All!
virtio-win.iso contains two different Windows drivers.
these Windows Server 2012 R2 drivers have different hardware IDs:

Framebuffer (was Xen port of ReactOS)
Fwiw, I think a ReactOS port would be very useful to both projects.
One thing I think xen could do with (if it isn''t there already) is some sort of virtual framebuffer like with disk and network. Dom0 could provide the backend of the virtual framebuffer (on virtual consoles or inside X windows or whatever), and the other domains could make use of the exported framebuffers. It

Creating an LLVM Project
Hi there,
I have a question regarding this documentation page: http://llvm.org/docs/Projects.html
IIRC LLVM has moved away from Makefile's and uses CMake only.
The question is:
Is the page outdated or is it a recommended way for creating LLVM based project?
P.S. I’m trying to create a project using CMake, though I’m seeing some issues (didn’t manage to include headers so far).

AC-97 problem between RELENG_4_8 and RELENG_4
Sorry if this is a known problem...
I've been tracking RELENG_4 on my Toshiba laptop for a while now; a
couple of months ago (not sure when) my sound stopped working. More
specifically, when it gets to the pcm probe, the boot hangs. I
dual-boot with WinXP and figured that somehow XP had hosed the
hardware, so I wrote it off.
Today, I made world with RELENG_4_8, and voila, my sound's
