One way intermittent static to PSTN
We are having intermittent problems where the person we call reports static when we place an outgoing PSTN call. Only the person called hears static, to us the conversation sounds fine. Never happens on inbound calls. It doesn't matter what channel you call from (IAX, SIP, or Zap). We have a Sangoma A108D with hardware echo cancellation with 2 PRIs to Level3 and 2 PRIs to a Nortel Option

NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED with smbclient
Hi, the problem is that when doing smbclient -L user I'm getting NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. ,,user'' is using win xp and I can view his shares from other _windows_ computer but not with smbclient. Any ideas why? [misiek@arm ~]$ smbclient -L lookas -d4 Serverzone is -3600 Initialising global parameters params.c:pm_process() - Processing configuration file "/etc/samba/smb.conf"

3.6.5: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED from Win7 to 750 dir
Hello, after upgrading from Samba 3.5.6 to 3.6.5 I encounter some strange NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED trouble when trying to access group readable directories from Windows 7 or Windows 2008 Terminal Server. Very strange stuff is that it works fine using smbclient from a Linux machine using the same userid and Kerberos authentication. The Server is fully integrated into active directory and uses

Intermittent problem with samba & win2k
I'm new to linux & samba having just started using each within the last month or so. I have a small LAN at home consisting of 2 win2k machines and a samba file server (2.2.6) on a SuSE 7.3 box. I'm seeing intermittent problems accessing a samba share from each of the two win2k machines and would appreciate any help in solving this. What I see is problems creating a new file or

I don't know if this got posted. Sorry for the double. Basically I have 4 Win AD servers I'm trying to use for password servers. I can net join others but not this one. All AD servers are identical and I have a computer account on all 4. What does this error mean? Thank u ! I'm also getting intermittent “password server not available” and users can't connect at random. I've

Intermittent logon failures
Samba 1.9.17p2 running on SPARC 4 Solaris 2.5. Windows 95 clients. For some time now I have been hearing reports of users not being able to logon to the domain--but I've never seen it happen myself, and I never do anything to fix it. It's just this annoying problem that doesn't happen often enough for me to ever see or track down. Today, FINALLY, I tried logging into a machine and

Intermittent access to Sysvol/Netlogon shares
Hello all- Cutting to the chase, I'm noticing varying/intermittent access to the netlogon and sysvol shares. All clients are windows 7 and samba is 4.0.6. Some clients are able to run 'gpupdate /force' and will successfully apply updates. Other clients fail out on this and state that it can't read the default domain policy GPT.INI file from \\<domain>\.... When I try to

rsync+ssh2 from Tru64 unix to linux has intermittent hangs.
This is odd: We're using rsync to mirror multiple directories from a server to two clients. The server is running Tru64 v5.1a, client A is running Redhat Linux 8.0, and client B is running Tru64 v4.0g. The mirrors for both clients are running at the same time interval (10 minutes, offset by 5 minutes). All machines are running rsync v2.5.6, and using ssh2 v3.2.3 as the
