Problem registering printer driver files with samba
Hello, Samba version 3.0.23c on Solaris 9. I can't seem to register printer driver files with samba using rpcclient. The problem is that NEWLINEs are not escaped, so I can't specify all the files I need to for a particular printer. Also, I can't use a Windows box with the add printer wizard as the printer insists on using it's own installer. In essence this is a bug, either

Samba and netgroups in LDAP
Hello, Has anyone got netgroups working with Samba 3.0.14a where the netgroups are stored in the LDAP directory? I'm using Solaris 9 and SUN's directory server v5.2. What I'm seeing is that samba goes through the motions of looking up a host in a netgroup, but no query is seen by the LDAP server or on the network and the host is never found in the netgroup. Any help would be

State of the union
The list has gotten pretty quiet over the last week. As I understand it, we are down to the following big ticket items: 1. Quotas on meta journaling 2. ext3 + LFS 3. Various minor bugs. Is this accurate? -- Keith Barrett Red Hat HA Team

latest packages both nonPAE?
List, After updating to xen-hypervisor-3.1-1-i386 (version 3.1.2-1) my PAE dom0 kernel won't boot. The message I'm getting on boot indicates that the hypervisor isn't PAE. My dom0 kernel boots fine with the old 3.1 package and the binary PAE hypervisor distributed on xen.org. I've also downloaded the xen-hypervisor-3.1-1-i386-nopae package thinking maybe they got switch but I

Package: xen Version: 4.0.1-1 Severity: serious User: debian-python at lists.debian.org Usertag: python2.6 The package build-depends on python2.5-dev, which is not the default python version for squeeze. Bug#588477: network-bridge: start: 95 sec sleep/bridge without a default gateway
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.0.0-1 Severity: normal Tags: patch do_ifup() in network-bridge exits badly, if the interface doesn't have a default gateway. Since it's wrapped in xen's locking script it causes it to be retied 100 times and sleep for 95 seconds before it continues. In my setup this amounts to: 16 vlans without a default gateway * 95 secs / bridge = 25 minutes
