winbindd 3.0.10 stops functioning
I've recently upgraded from a 3.0.4 (or 3.0.6, I don't remember) to Samba 3.0.10 on a FreeBSD 5.2.1 system and now I'm having problems with winbind. It seems to run fine for a while, but then it hangs and starts taking a lot of CPU time (80-90% while idling), eventually it dumps core. I commented out the 'client use spnego' line because that caused winbindd to hang

Samba, Winbind and AD. Nearly there but not quite
Hi, Just compiled latest version of samba and trying to get Samba to work with AD. I am at the point where I wbinfo -t, wbinfo -u, wbinfo -g and wbinfo -ausername%password work, but I cannot get getent passwd and getent group to gather any AD info. I have noticed the following errors in /var/log/samba/smbd.log [2006/03/09 16:37:16, 1] nsswitch/winbindd_ads.c:enum_dom_groups(282) No rid for

Winbindd startup kerberos fail
I'm trying to learn about the interactions between SAMBA and Win2k DCs.??The eventual goal is to have a Win2k server with ADS working with a FreeBSD SAMBA server.??I've?used?the?setup?from http://oslabs.mikro-net.com/fbsd_samba.html and many other articles as the basis for what I've done so far. Winbind seems to work and I can show users and gropus using wbinfo although I see some

Winbind no longer mapping groups correctly
Hi there, I have just discovered that my winbind installation (3.0 alpha 24 w/ACLs, RH 8.0, connected to a Windows 2000 ADS domain) seems to be no longer mapping groups correctly. Executing the "groups" command for any particular domain user fails, complaining that it can't get the group name for various winbind-ranged gids. Doing an ls of a directory created from Windows via samba

winbindd crashing/stopping
I am running RH8 with the Samba-alpha3.23 from the RPMs. I was able to use Kerberos to add machine to a Windows AD domain without any problem and was able to get winbind to function properly. I was able to get group & user listing using wbinfo -g & -u, -t responds with proper information. I have run getent for passwords & groups. Since what appeared to be a successful getent, my

Winbind in Win2003 ADS: wbinfo -u works, wbinfo -g does not
With samba 3.0.24 (Debian Etch packages) I joined a Windows 2003 ADS domain. Now wbinfo -u works fine, but wbinfo -g only says: Error looking up domain groups. smb.conf: [global] workgroup = wise realm = wise.vub.ac.be server string = %h server dns proxy = no password server = wisepc1 log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m log level = 10 max log size = 1000 syslog = 0

The problem on joining a computer running FreeBSD(v5.4) to a Windows 2003 Active Directory domain using samba3.
Hi, I encountered a problem when I joined a FreeBSD machine to a windows = 2003 AD domain. I passed following steps successfully: 1.#net ads join =A8CUAdministrator =20 2.#wbinfo =A8Cu 3.#wbinfo =A8Cg But when I check: #id Domain\\username (I can find this username using command = =A1=B0wbinfo =A8Cu=A1=B1) Id Domain\\username: no such user =20 I found: After restarting samba, there

3.0.0, winbind issues
I just upgraded our system here to 3.0.0 from RC4 last night. As usual I built an RPM from the source RPM after adding --with-acl-support to the specfile. I found that unlike previous RCs, RPM would not upgrade to 3.0.0 using -Fvh. In the end I removed RC4 and then installed 3.0.0 in the normal way (backing up and restoring /etc/samba and /var/cache/samba). However, the real issue is that

Backup Echo Suppression
Millions of ordinary people have systems that do not meet your stringent specifications. It does not matter what OS you or I use. It's the customers for whom this work is done. -----Original Message----- From: Jean-Marc Valin [mailto:Jean-Marc.Valin@USherbrooke.ca] Sent: Monday, July 02, 2007 6:35 PM To: Coffey, Michael Cc: speex-dev@xiph.org Subject: RE: [Speex-dev] Backup Echo Suppression

Backup Echo Suppression
Jean-Marc, I think I can speak for most everyone here when I say we appreciate *very much* your code beyond the codec that helps people who use Speex in real applications. How far you want to take that code is up to you, of course. (And contributors, to a degree.) I don't think any reasonable person is expecting your code to solve everything. But when people are running up against
