FEATURE REQ: safe % expansion via new syntax
Proposal: There should be a way to specify that some substitutions should be made in a way that is safe as far as Bourne Shell command lines are concerned (e.g., if %f expands to a string with special characters in it, it should be expanded to a sutiably quoted string in 'print command' parameters). Either all parameters that eventually result in a /bin/sh command line

An object that initializes multiple objects?
Hi, Something that I have noticed is that every class that inherits from ActiveRecord::Base has a database table of its own. However what if I don''t want a class to have its own table, but to actually serve as a proxy to initialize other entries? For instance as an example, let''s have a form with the fields for "student name", "student id number",

Asterisk 1.4 Followme Question
I have a question related to FollowMe on Asterisk 1.4. Is there a way to force Asterisk to always leave VM on the forwarded extension's cell phone, as opposed to pulling the call back from the forward to cell and depositing in Asterisk voicemail? Thanks in Advance! -- *Cory J Andrews* 725 Powell Lane Lewiston, NY 14092 voice - 716.579.6331 email - ipcbcory at gmail.com --------------

FollowMe / Asterisk 1.4 Question
Is there a way to strip the normal features out of FollowMe (call acceptance, etc), and just set followme up to to blind transfer any call to an extension's associated cell number if it is not answered on the extension after 4 rings? Users want followme calls to wind up in their cellphone voicemail and I'm having some issues with ring/answer timing and Asterisk wants to pull the call

Assigning Week Numbers
R experts, How could I extract the week number from a date vector (in Date class) such that week numbering (week 1...2...) begins (May 01) and ends (October 31) on the same specific dates each year? Week numbering must conform to the following day numbering format (Sat=1,Sun=2,Mon=3.....Fri=7). This means that new weeks must begin on Saturdays, and end on Fridays (except for the first date

Samba 3 and Mac OS X Jaguar to authenticate AD2003 users
Hi all My network is splitted in two parts: windows and macintosh, but all the usernames/password are on a win2003 server (with active directory, of course). I'd jusk like to allow authentication on both platforms with a single username, stored in AD. I read somewhere that OS X Server 10.3 has Samba 3 as a default package installed, but I can't unfortunately upgrade the OS, so I need some

ad2003 schema while forest/domain at 2008R2 level
Hi everyone, I came across this issue today while upgrading a samba4 AD. The forest/domain level is 2008R2, however the schema partition is actually missing the msDS-isRODC attribute (and probably a few others). It makes the ADUC console to failed on that entry below. Here is the samba log message (which is quite explicit :-) Sep 28 16:55:36 srvads samba[27900]: [2016/09/28 16:55:36.819666,

FW: opiekey segfault ... isn't that harmfull? it's setuid root
Hi, I dunno much about exploiting, but I was wondering about the setuid root program 'opiepasswd' to use one-time-passwords. When having a seed of (null) and a sequence of -1, I get a segfault. Winbind backend : rid is too much underappreciated
ah, ok, yes that was it.. ;-) so for my understanding. we use AD backend if we also want to use the RFC2307 extention (with winbind and schema_mode rfc2307) and we can use RID if we want the windows user id with winbind. and for RID we can use the server templete settings and for AD can can set this per user seen the the Unix Attibutes tab in the windows tool correct?
