Seems to be working fine as PDC + LDAP Master other than the following

SIP to SIP sadness
Wow, after getting the O'Reilly book delivered last week along with two
Digium TDM400P's, I'm really getting the hang of this. But the SIP to
SIP issue is still a problem... and it seems silly because everything
else (should have been?) so much harder but is working pretty
flawlessly. Basically I get no audio either way, and it tries to do a
"native bridge" (handoff?)

samba + citrix + drive mapping
Hi,
I am not sure if this question belongs here or on the Citrix forum. But
for whatever it is worth ...
I have a Samba3 server acting as PDC and several linux and windows
clients. Also there is a Citrix server in another NT4 domain that our
clients use to get common services. The issue I am seeing is that when
users login to the windows clients (that have joined the Samba domain),

VNC not connecting
Hello all:
I am trying to install CentOS 5.4 as a KVM guest.
The host is running CentOS 5.4 and does not have
X installed.
I used ssh to connect to the host and ran this command
(I formatted it for readability, it is all on one line):
virt-install -n jamm12e -r 1024 --vcpus=1 --check-cpu
--os-type=linux --os-variant=rhel5 --hvm --accelerate

password change error
Hi,
We migrated from redhat 7.1 to redhat 3 ES and ran into one road block
after the other.
Most of them were solved except this last one.
Users cannot change their passwords and then I read somewhere that samba
3.0 and MS KB828471 or 741 don't want to be friends. Then I upgraded my
samba to be samba 3.0.7 (which i guess is the latest)....
Then I un-installed the KBB patch being accused.

Hi All,
Okay, SAMBA officially doesn't like me or something.
Here's the poop:
- Brand-new FreeBSD 4.7 box
- SAMBA 2.2.6pre2 (built from the ports tree)
- I have dual NICs, one on 192.168.1 (students) the other on 192.168.2 (staff)
- I need two operational workgroups "STUDENTS" & "STAFF" each tied to their
own interface.
- This machine needs to do all the

Cannot open port 631 for Cups printer sharing
I have been trying to set up printer sharing on the LAN.All machines are
CentOS 5.2 fully updated. The problem server is a fresh build. The box
it is replacing worked fine for many months.
The problem appears to be a closed port 631 on the new box. iptables
and ip6tables are stopped as shown by the output below. To confirm I
was using nmap correctly I ran it against the old server first which

Error setting up bridge with static IP address
Hello:
I am trying to follow the RHEL virtualization guide
to set up a bridge on a system running CentOS 5.4.
I copied my ifcfg-eth0 to ifcfg-eth0:1 and
set its content to this:
DEVICE=eth0:1
HWADDR=[The MAC address from eth0]
ONBOOT=yes
BRIDGE=br1
I then created ifcfg-br1 with this content:
DEVICE=br1
TYPE=Bridge
BOOTPROTO=static
BROADCAST=192.168.2.255
IPADDR=192.168.2.202

VPN over PPP - more detail
Hi All,
Let me try again, this time with fixed width !
First off the scenario. We have a local and remote site, both of which
connect to the internet via a wireless network. The wireless cards
themselves have both an ethernet (ixp1) and an "Atheros" (ath0)
interface. The devices connect via PPPoE, and so there is also a ppp0
interface on each device.
On one side we have :

VPN through PPP
Hi all,
This is probably not the right place for this question, but maybe
someone can help me out. I am trying to setup a VPN between two private
addresses, using iproute2 (which is my only excuse for mailing this list).
The setup is as below :
