Record the user log-in and log-out
Hi! I'm sorry but I need a *fast* reply, I've absolutely no time to search on docs. :-( I have a small network: about 8-10 XP client connected to a Samba PDC. I need to log who and when log in the PDC, because the national law requires to record these infos and preserve them for a certain time. Any tip will be apreciated!! Thanks Giovanni -------------- next part -------------- No

Odds are this is the second time I did it wrong. Running Debian Lenny using smbldap. It mostly works. Existing members of the domain are working OK. Trouble Joining Active Directory
Having trouble getting Samba 3.0.24 on Debian Stable to join an Active Directory domain. I previously thought the problem stemmed from an earlier bug that has been fixed in 3.0.23 that required a user to have full Admin rights. I do not have full admin rights. I do have rights to add machines which I do regularily. Read through Samba ADS Domain Membership. Below is my kinit, smb.conf and debug

Is there any way to talk to a preferred PDC IP address?
Hello, I am trying to join a domain. Using net host lookup I've found the IP Address of LDAP and KDC server as well. Now my question is is it possible to join a particular PDC ( even though there are multiple PDC's in case of AD or PDC/BDC in case of NT-4 ) It seems that -I option to the "net" command does not work as intended. In case of NT -I parameter gives out an error as
