It's a question of getting the compiler environment setup to do the port. Much
of libshout and ices2 are ready but, certain things like live input are different
from whats in windows.

v1.2.12 and debug
Is there some kind of extended debug that might show why my maildir is not foundat login? It has worked off and on, once briefly today then no more.
I'm going around twiddling knobs guessing at this point which is foolish.
I need some real bread crumbs to indicate what is going wrong.
I've tried all kinds of .conf file ... example file etc. I figured using the least number of settings

cluster suite & gfs problem since update
I have a cluster that has been operational for some time and functioning
flawlessly until a recent yum update. The last unflawed working kernel
was 2.6.9-55.0.12.ELsmp. The current kernel is 2.6.9-67ELsmp. The
problem appears to be some type of infinite recovery loop of sorts. It
runs find for a few minutes, then the service restarts itself. What I
am seeing in /var/log/messages is:

What are the chances of getting ices0.3 and ices2 ported to windows as a
command line app?
and be able to run it as a NT serivce?

Hi all. I just joined this list but have been working with Karl H and Arc
on IRC for a while on using ices/icecast in a radio studio in new york.
I'm pretty involved in Linux audio and have a good superficial
understanding of what's available in the Linux world for audio.
To keep this thread on topic, I've mentioned to Karl H before but I guess
it would be worthwile to mention here

[LLVMdev] Proposal for -filetype=obj full big endian support
Hi Jack,
I would have expected the Mips backend to be using these routines (or more likely something on top of them) to emit the contents of the data and text sections and thus have the bit-twiddling done by these routines. I take it that's not happening?
Basically, this should already work without any additional infrastructure. If it's not, something is broken and bypassing the

intermittent failure of ability to connect to samba share from win (NT/2k) client
First, my installation is samba 2.2.8 running as a daemon (not inetd) on
Solaris 8 configured to use a WINS server and provide authentication via
a PDC (same host as WINS server). I do have an lmhosts file in the
samba /lib directory with the PDC/WINS server address in it.
My globals section;

I am not sure if your problem is similar to what we have just experienced.
we are using samba 2.2.3a-12.3 on debian with winxp sp1 clients
we are using roaming profiles
first logon after reboot fails sortof
Windows cannot find a server copy of roaming profile will logon with

funny thing we never saw any activity in hostname.log (seperate smb.log
for each machine)

Shorewall help blacklist and restart/refresh
At the current time I am not subscribed to the mailing list.
I have a blacklist that I got from www.peerguardian.net that is rather
large ( 81 kb).
When shorewall start command is issued it takes about 20 mins for it to
load.
Is this normal or should I do this another way?
Also I noticed something very strange with shorewall ..
I have cron do a shorewall restart command every 24 hours and

Samba4 AD not Authenticating
I have already posted another issue

may be related the current issue I am having.
I have Three Samba4 AD Domain Controllers, the first one installed that was
the primary domain controller is the one having problem, the other two seem
to be working OK. I discovered the problem

sound driver advise needed
Hello--
How do I twiddle the sound drivers?
I'm not that experienced with kernel twiddling and driver loading. I
have Redhat 9. My previous attempts to play with the kernel and load
extra drivers always ended with a new kernel that wouldn't boot.
I know asterisk doesn't like to play with sound interfaces that aren't
full duplex. So, when I built the
system, I saw the MSI

rspec runner setting $KCODE considered harmful?
I ran across a problem today in which some code ran fine in regular
operation but failed in a test case. I scratched my head and thought "why
would running from within the test harness change the behavior of my code?"
Clearly it was the Heisenberg uncertainty principle in action! :)
I discovered the root cause was that the rspec runner is setting the magical

UDP Vs. TCP
The project involves a "private" broadcast so setting up firewall rules and
forwarding would be a problem ... I'm going to post the project proposal
once I have it finished, since it is a really cool project.

ISCI Network Hang - Lun becomes unavailable
I am sharing out ZFS ISCSI luns to my Mac. When copying large files, the network will hang in the middle of the transfer and the LUN will become unavailable until I plumb the NIC. This issue appears to only occur only when I am reading files (ie..syncing an ipod) and not writing (I''m not 100% sure though). When I snoop the interface I notice a bunch of ARP lookups. Any ideas? Proxy Arp Ip Conflicts
I must have something configured wrong somewhere. I''ve enabled proxy-arp on my
shorewall 2.0.7 firewall. Works fine for what its supposed to do, I can see
all the machines through it great. However, whenever its enabled, the network
on the DMZ goes screwy. I''ve narrowed it down to this:
when proxy arp is enabled for that interface, like such:
