windows 98 logon script
Hi all,
Hope some could help me out with my problem.
The following is part of my smb.conf.
logon drive = Q:
logon path = \\%L\profiles\%U
logon home = \\%L\%U
logon script = scripts/%g.bat
I have a <groupname>.bat file for each group and that basically maps each
users home directory and a common directory of that group. Bellow is a
script for group ma and name of the script is ma.bat.

Printers and other stuff
Well.. okay. Only printers.
I am still having issues (pains, actually) getting my pritner shares to
work from either Linux OR Windows 2000. One of the things I see here is
that the majority of users use CUPS as the printing daemon. From my
previous Unix experieince, I have gravitated towards BSD as my printing
daemon.
Could this be the reason I am having trouble> Does Samba work better

APW New Driver Greyed Out
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have done this before, but for the life of me cannot get it to work today.
I am trying to setup SAMBA to allow non-technical users (one per site) to
add printer drivers as needed.
I am running Samba 3.0.24. Following are the relevant entries from smb.conf.
# workgroup = NT-Domain-Name or Workgroup-Name
pid directory = /var/run/
workgroup = BACKUPS

Printer shares will not work - 2.0.7
First allow me to issue this disclaimer... The following problem is most
likely due to my own ignorance. Now on to the problem...
I'm setting up some printer shares that allow automatic driver installation
to Win 9x clients [printer$]. When we try to use these, the drivers install
beautifully, but we get the following error message when we try to print:
"There was an error writing to
