Samba v3.0.23a BROKE my network
I run Samba as a PDC for a small network. I used to use smbpassword and
went through the pain of changing up to tdbsam.
I have just upgraded from v3.0.14a to v3.0.23a.
The immediate effect was that nobody could use their domain log in any
more.
I was upset. My users wished me to understand their frustration. It
was not my fault. I became cross. The dog got my dinner (it's an ill

Objects "uncompletely" displayed
Hello,
I would like to ask some help about the following problem:
I'm running a soft called beersmith (www.beersmith.com) with wine. The
soft is running but some lists are uncompletely displayed. Only the
first column is displayed but I can sort lists on unvisible columns.
I already have asked help from the developpers but havn't received any
usefull answers:

A question about pairs()
Greetings R users,
I am an R graphics newbie trying to produce a custom trellis plot using
pairs() with R 2.7.2.
I have spatial data on which I run a geographically weighted regression
(gwr, using the -spgwr- package). I want to check the gwr coefficients
for multicollinearity and spatial association, following Wheeler and
Tiefelsdorf (2005), and I would like to summarize the results of this

Specifying a function as not being and S3 Class function
I am compiling a library with legacy code which has functions named with periods in the names - but are not S3 class functions. For example for example, summary.agriculture is not an extension of the summary function for and 'agriculture. class object - it is just poorly named.
Is it possible to keep from triggering the following warning when I check the package?
* checking S3

PXElinux & memdisk
I am trying to acheve pxe booting of a image of barts boot disk (www.nu2.nu).
I have managed to get LTSP booting via pxelinux, so I know my dhcp/tftp servers are ok.
However when I try to boot memdisk with either a stock suselinux boot image file (taken from
SuSE 9.1) or my dos disk (created by dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/imagefile)
I get output like
MEMDISK 2.08
command line : BOOT_IMAGE=memdisk

small lan - novice - 2
Hi,
armed with Samba-3 -by example I proceeded to test my 2 linux lan
[suselinux pro 9.1 with Samba 3.0.9-2.6-suse].
I followed instructions and made the smb.config as small as possiblw:
[global]
workgroup = snj
server string = Samba Server
guest ok = yes
[orb]
comment = removable 2.2 gb hd
path = /orb
browsable = yes
read only = no
However, I was stumped practically immediately as you can
