Winbind Craziness
Hai,
In addition to Rowlands question.
Can you run this script and post it to the list also.
It gives a complete overview of what your running.
Its basicly what Rowland asked, but with a few extra things.

CentOS 3.4 + Samba 3.0.9-1.3E.2, winbind problems
Hi all,
Thus far, I have managed to get wbinfo -[u|g] to display users/group
correctly, and getent passwd/group works. However, wbinfo -t fails to
work, giving me this error:
[root@billing samba]# wbinfo -t
checking the trust secret via RPC calls failed
error code was NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED (0xc0000022)
Could not check secret
Further, this seems to be related to a problem with wbinfo -a:

I have the following setup:
eth0: connects to internet with static public IP 1.2.3.1 (obscured
here for privacy)
eth1: connects to DMZ with static public IP 1.2.3.2 (obscured here for privacy)
eth2: connects to LAN with static private IP 192.168.0.1

IMAP COPY creates invalid index data with zlib and mail_log plugins enabled but zlib_save off
I've noticed that maildir IMAP COPY commands can generate invalid
dovecot.index entries when all seven of the following are true:
- The zlib plugin is enabled;
- The zlib_save/zlib_save_level options are NOT enabled;
- The source message being copied is compressed;
- The mail_log plugin is logging "copy" events;
- The mail_log_fields setting includes at least one message header;

OK.... Your system is configured to not check users with uidNumber <
2000. Your original message obscured the UID of the user you were
testing. What is it?

Monitor DTMF problems
Hello
We have discovered a problem with DTMF on Asterisk.
We have a setup with a T1 from PSTN going into an Asterisk box, and
then out again on T1 and into a normal PBX (EADS)
We use it to record all calls going to/from the PBX.
The problem is that when we record the calls (with MONITOR command),
DTMF tones gets obscured, and is not understood in the other end, if
we dont Monitor, there are no

no gnome-applets in C7.2
Weird. There seems to be quite a bit of software missing from C7.2,
gnome-applets being one of them. Or has it been moved or renamed or
otherwise obscured?

rgl lighting question
Hi, I'm using rgl to generate a 3D surface plot and I'm struggling to
get the lighting correct. Currently the surface gets plotted, but is
very 'shiny'. On rotating the view, I get to see parts of the surface
- but overall I don't see much detail because of the spotlight like
lighting.
I've played around with the specular, ambient and diffuse but I can't

Potential issue with noalias @malloc and @realloc
Hi all,
I think I've spotted a semantic issue with marking @malloc and
@realloc as noalias. Say we have the program:
int f() {
int* p0 = malloc(size of(int));
free(p0);
int* p1 = malloc(sizeof(int));
if (!p1) return 20;
int value = 0;
for (int i = 0; i < 1; i++) {
*p1 = 20;
value = *p1;
if (false) // "false" is obscured in a way the compiler can't

How to alpha entire plot?
I have two chromatograms I want plotted on the same axes.
I would like the plots to be transparent, so the first chart is
not obscured.
I have tried adjustcolor(..., alpha.f=0.3), the problem is that
my chromatogram is so dense with datapoints that they
overlap and the entire graph just ends up a solid color. The
second histogram still obscures the first.
Consider this example:

FXListBox size behavior?
The default behavior of FXListBox seems to be to grow and shrink in
width depending on the length of the selected entry in the list. This is
a problem when the list contains items of varying width, because if a
short item is picked then the longer entries are obscured in the
drop-down list.
Is this deliberate, an oversight, or a bug? Its certainly not how I''d
choose it to act. Is

Advice on obscuring unique IDs in R
Dear colleagues,
This may be a question with a really obvious answer, but I
can't find it. I have access to a large file with real
medical record identifiers (mixed strings of characters and
numbers) in it. These represent medical events for many
thousands of people. It's important to be able to link
events for the same people.
It's much more important that the real record numbers

Ok,
Your keytab looks ok now.
oldsamba.dom.corp is an alias for fs-a.oldsamba.dom.corp.
fs-a.dom.corp has address 10.0.0.2
i would have expected here.
oldsamba.dom.corp is an alias for fs-a.dom.corp.
fs-a.dom.corp has address 10.0.0.2
Or was that a typo? I assuming a typo..
About your setup from the script outpout.
Change this one.

Title obscured when using par(mfrow) (PR#3463)
I want to put multiple plots on a page using par(mfrow), then a single title at
the top. This should work, but doesn't:
R> par(oma=c(0,0,4,0), mfrow=c(3,4))
R> for (i in 1:12) {plot(1); title(i)}
R> ## text(10,10, ".")
R> par(mfrow=c(1,1), oma=c(0,0,1,0))
R> title("Main Title")
The main title does not appear. However, uncommenting the third line
