Is it possible to allow your Liunx box "see" your winbox, just like the winbox can "see" or browse the Linux box with Samba?

Hello, I find a strange behavior. When a machine is slow (or with many debug traces or a qemu vm), a interrupt can occur between the pv_irq_ops initialization and the xen_vcpu[0] initialization. Hi, samba-3.0.9-1.3E.2 on RHEL3-AS. Let's say we have a samba 3 PDC (workgroup = testdomain) on linux.host.1, and the passwd backend is NIS ypbind that binds to ypserv on liunx.host.2. Further, linux.host.2 also runs samba 3, not as a PDC, but rather points it's authentication to an NT4 PDC (workgroup = realdomain). Even further, linux.host.2 also holds the user /home directories.

Hello, I have a RedHat 7.3 workstation and have created a samba mount to my samba server. Everything seems to be working ok, but when I reboot my RH workstation the mount is not reestablished. I believe the problem is that when I reboot the machine the samba share is not unmounted. After rebooting the machine when I run smbstatus on the samba server it indicates the mount is still active.

Has anyone out there had success with smbmount smbumount and solaris 7? If so, please let me know how you installed it; ideally, I'd like to add it using pkgadd. So far I only have smbclient working. Thanks, Kevin

I installed samba on a PC running SuSE 10.2, using the version from the SuSE 10.2 repository (3.0.23). All very nice, except smbmount is missing. As I understand it, this would seem to be because the version offered had not been compiled with the --with-smbmount option. Is my interpretation correct? And if so, how can I fix things?
