3.0.23pre1 trusted domain failed
Hi,
Recently, upgrade samba from 3.0.14a to 3.0.23pre1. And found trusted
domain user couldn't logon to Samba share. The command nsquery to query
a user from trusted domain failed also. For example:
parent.com Win2003 DC
|---Child1.parent.com Win2003 DC
|---Child2.parent.com Win2003 DC
Kinit OK.
Net ads join to Child1 OK.
Restart the server with winbindd.
Wbinfo -m can display trusted

I was using load printers. Apparently, at some point, it became the

winbind enum users = yes, but: is there a limit?
I am seeing odd behaviour with winbindd 3.0.21c on Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 4, with idmap_ad.
I have 'winbind enum users = yes', mainly for performance and load
evaluation purposes, since my AD setup currently has 8500 or so users
and in production will have many more. Only *one* of those users has
uidNumber, gidNumber, set to make it usable in the Linux environment.
When I say

Samba 3.0.21c broken timezone handling
Hello,
I'm working in France (Europe), and use daylight saving time (aka DST aka
summertime). I upgraded my Samba server from 3.0.20b to 3.0.21c.
Got complaints from a user that all his *WINTER* files modification date
mysteriously shifted one hour ahead. It took me some time to find out the
culprit, since we just switched from wintertime to summertime.
On Unix (tested both Solaris 9 and

"printer admin" still working in 3.0.21c?
While I'm able to successfully upload printer drivers with APW to my
Samba 3.0.21c DMS server with CUPS, I have a hard time changing printer
properties afterwards which always ends up with "access denied",
although the AD account used to connect is listed in "[global] printer
admin =".
I noticed that "printer admin" is marked deprecated in 3.0.21c, but

When migrating files off an existing Win2K file server using "net rpc
share migrate files" with Samba 3.0.21c on SuSE 9.3 Pro I stumbled
across a number of "string overflow by X in safe_strcat" errors on a few
files with non-ASCII characters:
