3.0.27a, ubuntu server7.10 auth issues
I have upgraded to version 3.0.27a on ubuntu 7.10 server and now the getent command wont display the active directory users, but wbinfo will. It worked fine with 3.0.26a and I have not changed my configuration. I do however have this in my winbind log: [2007/12/04 13:39:01, 0] nsswitch/winbindd.c:request_len_recv(544) request_len_recv: Invalid request size received: 2084 (expected

/etc/pam.d/su
At the risk of going off topic here... does anyone know how to configure the /etc/pam.d/su file to allow authenticated domain users to be able to 'su' into root. Or atleast how to add them to the wheel groups so that I can su with a non-root, domain user? problem with "winbind separator = \"
Hello, I just rebuilt the samba server that I was working on and when I try to add the line "winbind separator = \", testparm tells me that its value must be 1 character and then displays its value as the proceeding line. If I change the value to '+', it tells me that the value might cause a problem with groups memberships. If I just leave the value at '/' then it does

Everything but [Homes] works
I am migrating from my "old" 2.2.7 samba server to a newer server runnig 3.0.20a and everythig is working except the [homes] share. The server (FILE-CABINET) is a member of the domain, security is set to ADS and, as far as I can tell, kerberos is working. The program wbinfo returns a list of users and groups like it should. getent passwd returns first my local passwd file and then

Join to Windows domains
Hi, I am setting up FreeBSD with Samba to Windows domain environment to act as a file server. Before put it to a real network, I'd like to do the test. If I made samba join to the test domain, do I able to take off from test domain and join to the real domain without re-install samba? Thanks, Jeffrey
