similar to: usrmgr.exe "group name could not be found" error

Hi All, I have just joined this list, and this is my first post - so please bear with me. I am running debian testing (sarge) with a 2.4.23-1-686 kernel, and a self compiled samba-3.0.0final (--with-quotas), deployed from self built *.debs. It is running as a PDC (smb.conf at bottom of post), and I have successfully mapped "Domain Users" to unixgroup users, "Domain Admins"

I'm having problems adding users with usrmgr. I can run the scripts from my smb.conf fine from command line and do what I need to. But, when adding users with usrmgr, the login script and path statements are not identified and I have to go in and edit them manually. Does adding a user with usrmgr not use the add user script from Samba? Or must the user environment variables be added

I am having troubles getting the user manager to add users. It gives me an incorrect parameter. I am using samba 3.0 final. I am also using the tdbsam backend. I noticed in pdbedit it does not have the [u ] under account flags. It adds the user, but it does not show up in the user manager for domains (but it gets put inside of the pwdb and /etc/passwd) here is my config. log

Hello I have usrmgr.exe (form NT server ver.5.1) to manage user accounts of samba.(one year ago) I set logon hours from 8:00 to 16:00. My server (Fedora 7) changed the time correctly from winter to sumer (+ 1 hour). I chenged hardware time clock -w (write system clock to hardware clock synchro). Hello, I am trying to find and easy way for end users to add Samba accounts to a Linux server. Some of my end users are schoot teachers, and they have to add tens of students to their Samba servers.
