We are exporting the shares using 2x1GB and 2x10G. However the clients are only getting 40-50MB/s. With samba3 I think we had up to 80-90MB/s. just to verify basic facts: Did you cross check vie network sniff, on which SMB protocol versions Server + Win 7 clients agree ? Or did you pin down via registry ? AFAIK only starting with win 8 or win 10 clients you could ask with powershell, which protocol version is in use. Hi, we are using samba 2.0.7. on our HP file-server. For the NT users everything is ok, but we are not able to setup WIN95/98 computers to use the shares. All computers are within the same domain. Shares of NT-pc can be used and also shares from other linux boxe, but NOT from the HP. The global section is the same on the linux and HP machines. Any idea ? How can we check what is going wrong ? Hi, we found that the timestamp of files is not displayed correctly, since the time switched to summer time. The file server has the right time and under unix the "ls -l" shows the correct time, but under windows 1h is added (all files seems to live in the future). Any hint ? Hi, I played around with samba 2.2.5 and cups and tried to get it working. Well everything is fine, but the driver upload to the client WILL NOT WORK. I used the current stable downloads, latest patch for printing, prebuilds from Lars Mueller .... I put together everything. If one has a working samba//cups please tar it and place it on our ftp-server. I don't know what's wrong here
