Request
I apologize if this is out of line or the incorrect venue to make my
request.
I have spent months, off and on, attempting to download a large iso file
through my Linux desktop to my Linux-based server. It was frustrating
and damn near impossible. I kept suffering failures when the file size
hit 2Gig. I asked around in several newsgroups, I believe this mailing
list, and some web forums to no

Unable to authenticate on Dovecot - auth-userdb issue?
Some general information:

postfix + dovecot + mysql
192.168.1.105 (shuttle) the email server machine

Unable to authenticate on Dovecot - auth-userdb issue?
Uncommented the section on userdb that was commented because it was throwing errors. It?s still throwing an error. Specifically this one:

full_audit syslog logging question
In case anyone is interested, I found the problem.
I was running samba in a container that did not have any syslog service (rsyslogd or syslog-ng) running. By default, samba syslog only sends messages to the system's syslog socket and there was nothing listening on it so the messages just got dropped. I put rsyslogd in the container and configured it to listen on the syslog socket and am

mailalias type: automatic rebuild of aliases.db?
HI,
All our unix boxes under puppet are configured with the ''mailalias'' resource
type as in :
mailalias { "root":
recipient => "linuxroot@fqdn",
ensure => present
}
The majority of those boxes however don''t have /etc/aliases served out by
puppet, rather, they simply have the installed default /etc/aliases locally.

Score Test Function
Greeting R Community,
I'm trying to learn Logistic Regression on my own and am using An Introduction to Logistic Regression Analysis and Reporting (Peng, C., Lee, K., & Ingersoll, G. ,2002). This article uses a Score Test Stat as a measure of overall fit for a logistic regression model. The author calculates this statistic using SAS. I am looking for an [R] function that can compute

Access.log
I'm using Simplecast to feed 8 mount points of a 24/7 live stream to Icecast on a win platform. When I have the Statistics Relays graphing activated, I get an entry each minute in Access.log for each of the mount points.
That particular entry is pretty much useless but of course, being able to see the IP address of client drops can be useful. This log grows to mammoth proportions unless I

lm_sensors and Shuttle
Hi All,
I'm trying to get lm_sensors to work on a Shuttle with an AMD K10. The version
of lm_sensors in the main CentOS repo is 2.10.7, which is two years old now.
Support for the K10 was added about a year ago.
So, does anyone know if there are binaries available for more recent versions
of lm_sensors?
Also, if anyone has knowledge of the sensors layout for recent Shuttle AMD
motherboards,

memdisk image problems on shuttle hardware
hpa,
Seeing your post about 3.71, I wanted to get a message out even though I
don't have the stats right now.
I am having a problem with memdisk with a lot of shuttle computers, but
also affects a variety of other hardware (low though, 5%? less?).
The image that I can most reliably test against is the Hitachi Drive
fitness Test.

Space Shuttle Mission 2007 - mouse cursor stuck
Hello,
Space Shuttle Mission 2007 (http://www.space-shuttle-mission.com/) is awsome simulator I found missing in AppDB. Have anyone tried it?
Unfortunately I have problem with it - mouse cursor is stuck within invisible rectangle, smaller then game screen surface.
While using virtual desktop you can see that "real" mouse cursor moves out of game screen, but in-game cursor stays

after switching from version 2.2.7 to 2.2.7 I miss the loglines which say:

AstriCon Update: Very Low Priced Ground Transport Available

As ground transportation and the costs associated therewith are something of
an issue. So, in the spirit of making AstriCon available I've contacted the
hotel and arranged/discovered some low cost options:
-- MARTA --
MARTA, the Atlanta mass-transit system (i.e. train) can get you there. Take
MARTA from the airport north to the Brookhaven station. The hotel shuttle
