machines from the domain, changed the name, created a new
machine-account, but I still can't add the machine to the domain.
My /etc/smb.conf (see below the logfile) is unchanged since Debian Etch.

printing problems and permissions
I've got Samba 2.2.3 running as a PDC for some Win9x and WinNT
clients. Everything seems to be fine except that occasionally (but
rather often, at least every second day) printing from one of the
NT-clients is impossible. In the log file it says (word wrap here in the
editor):

LDAP-Domain confusion
Hi there,
this one starts driving me nuts:
1. Configuration:
- iPlanet LDAP Server
- Solaris 9 Server 1 - Samba 2.8.8, Domain: FRSTPRV
- Solaris 9 Server 2 - Samba 3.0.x, Domain: FRSTPRV.DE
(Problem occurs, using whatever domain name)
- x means Version 1 and Version 2a have been tested...
- Both samba servers are physically different machines!

Domain controller problems

I am trying to set up a domain for my home network, but I ran into problems.
The situation: The Debian server has netbios name "server", there are
more PCs, I will only talk about "pchrispc". The user I want to setup
is "pappl".
Here is what I did:
Installed Samba, configured it correctly (domain master, netlogon, etc.),

Problems with windows 7 logon
Hi,
I'm trying to put a Windows 7 on my samba domain. I compiled samba 3.5.4 in server that is the PDC. It is an HP-UX 11.11 and earlier used the samba distributed by HP. After the changes made to the registry of Windows 7 as the samba wiki site, I can put the machine in domain. At the time of logging an error message appears

We had a similar problem here, different but perhaps not entirely unique if
someone else happens to make the same mistake. We give kudos to the samba
logging. =)
We have a linux samba print server with cups as a member server of an nt4
domain. The win98 users could print fine, win 2k could not - but that
wasn't the problem, though only these systems had an "access denied" error

PDC + LDAP, cannot access LDAP when not root
I'm using Debian Sarge, Samba (3.1.14a) with the ldapsam backend, and

When attempting to join an Windows XP+SP2 computer (BILLGATES) to my

windows: 'Access denied.'
The logs (attached) seem to indicate that the user Administrator is
being authenticated (which would have? to use LDAP), but when It
