Shorewall and ChilliSpot
Has anybody on this managed to get ChilliSpot and Shorewall to work together? I have managed to get it to work with the supplied firewall script but if I wanted to do my firewall like that I would not be using Shorewall. At any rate, I am having all kinds of trouble translating the supplied rules to something that Shorewall would understand. If anybody has already done it I would love to see the

Dataframe subset - why doesn't this work?
data(mtcars) mtcars[rownames(mtcars)!="Valiant",] # fails mtcars[list(rownames(mtcars))!="Valiant",] # runs but I am not getting the expected result With the latter statement, I expected all rows except the one where the name is "Valiant". I must have got something simple wrong; what is it? Thanks. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

R-beta: Still want restart() in R
People's valiant efforts to sort out CODA aside, the burning question remains: has anybody made any headway with restart()? or any other way (and there may well be better) of trapping `fatal' errors from calls within a function. Why copying columns of a data.frame becomes numeric?
Dear list, I want the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th columns of mtcars. After copying them, the columns become numeric class rather than data frame. But, when I copy rows, they data frame retains its class. Why is this? I don't see why copying rows vs columns is so different. > class(mtcars) [1] "data.frame" > head(mtcars) mpg cyl disp hp drat wt qsec vs

Samba + (LDAP + Kerberos V)
So like at least a handful of people before me I have begun the valiant stugle to unify logins at my place of business. I have setup a test LDAP + Kerberos V cluster. And I have Setup a test Samba 3 PDC. What I would like to do is get Samba to handle kerberos ticket granting and authentication to the (LDAP + Kerberos V) Directory. Such that Windows is completely unaware of the existence of

PROPOSAL: Remove SWAT in Samba 4.1
As most of you would have noticed, we have now had 3 CVE-nominated security issues for SWAT in the past couple of years. At the same time, while I know many of our users use SWAT, we just don't have anybody to maintain it inside the Samba Team. Kai has made a valiant effort to at least apply the XSS and CSRF guidelines when folks make security reports, but by his own admission he isn't a

Ticket tracking moved to lighthouse
Hi everyone, We''ve moved ticket tracking for the rspec project to http://rspec.lighthouseapp.com! Thanks to a valiant effort from Chad Humphries, the move was done in an evening. For those of you on the rspec-devel list, apologies for the wealth of noise in this process. I set the trackers to stop sending email and they apparently didn''t listen. For those of you who submitted

channel bank/multiplexer recommendation
Hello. I am totally new to this PBX/asterisk/telephony world. I understand that what I need between the T100P/E100P and the POTS analog lines is a channel bank/multiplexer? I am looking for recommendations on this type of hardware. I have been looking around and found a product from valiant communications (http://www.valiantcom.com/) and/or

Riello Vision VST 1100 + NetMan 204 network card
I've contacted Riello and they told me that the NetMan 204 is the new version of the Netman Plus 102 and is indeed compatible with NUT. I don't know how to update the Hardware compatibility list page, but the 204 should be added to the compatible ones. Niccolo' Il 2022-06-17 12:02 Niccol? Riello Vision VST 1100 + NetMan 204 network card
Hi, I'm looking for a small 230V Line Interactive Pure Sine Wave UPS with NUT support via network. It looks like the VST1100 has a communication slot for an optional NetMan 204 network card, but I couldn't figure out if that would be compatible with NUT. What I need is being able to monitor the UPS in Home Assistant (which uses NUT AFAIK) plus being able to automatically shut down a

variadic functions on X86_64 should (conditionally) save XMM regs even if -no-implicit-float
Thanks for reviving this topic! Interestingly we have essentially the same fix you mention below ( https://reviews.llvm.org/D62639) as a local change in our Wind River version of LLVM. The reason we didn't try to push it upstream (and in fact have considered removing it) is due to an unfortunate side-effect which is either "expected" or a "bug" depending on your
