Communication between LDAP and SAMBA works fine. So I can access to SAMBA shares in workgroup mode using LDAP accounts. When I try to join a computer to the domain, it works => Join is OK using administrator

Incompatibility Windows 7
As Gaiseric requested, here is the testparm -v diff of a working and nonworking member server in the NT4 domain. I've tried to align the columns, but it's possible your mail client may mangle them. The only parameter change I have tried is changing 'ntlm auth' to Yes on the the nonworking system. It did not fix anything. Thanks for looking. Dale *# Samba 4.2.14 (working)*

smbpasswd -j joins wrong domain?
I am having a hell of a time getting a group of Samba servers working together as a domain. My desired setup is to have one Samba PDC (LION) in control of the ANIMALS domain and then have the other Samba file server (HYDRA) join ANIMALS. Simple enough. My smb.conf files are attached. I have added a HYDRA$ machine account to LION per the usual directions. I then follow the simple directions

Hi all! I work as a computer technician for a small school and have recently upgraded our network to use samba servers. Our main computers are a PDC, a BDC, a file server and a backup server, all using Red Hat Fedora Core 3 as a base. The clients on our network consist of machines with Windows XP and a few with Windows NT. Everything seems to work just fine except for some minor but annoying

Printing to an epson C80 using cups
I am having a terrible time with cups and samba. I have a little home network with a print/file server running RH 7.1 and Samba 2.2.2. The best I have gotten to is to have the printer showing up in network neighborhood on my wife's Win98 box, but the printer configuration wizard refused to use it. It was like it did not exist, or the permissions were wrong. But I doubt that could be the
