Invalid or corrupt kernel image
Hi, I am trying to setup my own PXE boot server. I tried several PXE bootable Linux-Distributions. For example if I use the ubuntu netboot image from [1] it works quit well but there are a few other images they do not work in my case e.g.: RIPLinuX [2]. A friend tested this image on his PXE boot server with success. I also checked the download with md5sum. In my case I can see the boot menu [3].

PXE linux install server with CentOS 5
Hello, I am trying to setup a PXE boot installation server (CentOS 5 which has tftp-server-0.42-31.el5.centos and dhcp-3.0.5-5el5 and httpd-2.2.3.7.el5.centos) and I followed this recommendation: http://www.linux-sxs.org/internet_serving/pxeboot.html in order to create an http install server (I'd rather not do NFS, FTP installations due to bandwitdth restrictions at our site). I keep

Polycom IP4000 - Device does not match ACL
I am trying to configure a Polycom IP4000 for use with Asterisk 1.4.5 on a flat local network. I followed the provisioning guides that I found on the Web, and I have the phone downloading bootrom.ld, sip.ld, and a bunch of configuration files. This all works properly. However, I receive the following error: NOTICE[27345]: chan_sip.c:14725 handle_request_register: Registration from

One is 64bit and almost 90MB and the 32bit is 85MB. I know that some tftpd

Polycom IP4000
I'm trying to get a few Polycom IP4000s working with asterisk, the incoming calls from inside and outside of the network work fine with it, but when I try calling out it just kicks me over to a busy siginal. Anyone have any ideas on what causes this or how to fix it? Thanks, Nathan -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: not available Type:

Confusion on lpxelinux vs. gpxelinux vs. ipxe vs gpxe.
Hi All, I've been trying to understand how to use pxechn.c32 to chain a local pxelinux menu item to a remote server which has it's own pxelinux hierarchy served via TFTP and HTTP. We have no control over DHCP next-server and filename fields so I wanted to exploit the "prefix" -p option that pxechn.c32 accepts. I spent a long time hitting my head against a brick wall until I

SIP Conference phones
Greetings list, Does anyone have experience with SIP conference phones? I need to source a couple for a client, but I'm not really familiar with the market - i.e. what's available, what's decent quality, etc.. A cursory googling has led me to the Polycom Soundpoint IP4000 at around the ?450 mark - any thoughts on this? If anyone knows a good Polycom wholesaler in the UK, I'd be

Help for setting up windows unattended installation
Hi. I have looked at PXElinux<http://www.syslinux.org/wiki/index.php?title=PXELINUX> to understand all this, but I'm very sorry I don't. I have managed to setup to boot from PXELinux, but I'm not an expert on how to setup a menu file for making a windows unattended installation. Could someone help me with that? Is there some kind of a forum for this or is it just by email?

Polycom IP600 - Worth the extra $$
Hello, I am looking at the Polycom phones. The ip600 has a very nice screen, is that the only real advantage over the ip500 and ip300.. Is it worth the extra dollars? I made other tests. It's not a matter of Win98 versus WinXP, things change passing from tftpd32 v310beta to v3.33. This version seems to work fine, but the logs show problems.
