Block Commit: [100 %]error: failed to pivot job for disk vda (Bug filed)
Hello List, Seems like blockcopy --wait doesn't work work qemu-2.2.x. I found someone else having the same problem, but it never went anywhere: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvirt-users/2015-January/msg00045.html I went ahead and did some more debugging and created a bug report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1210903 I'm going to do some more debugging and hopefully

security = domain and Mac OS X
I've set up Samba on Mac OS X to do pass through authentication to the nt domain in AD several times now. No big deal, it usually just works. Now, however, it doesn't appear to be working. Note the relevant part of the transaction below (loglevel 4). Steps to replicate: a) Add pre-Win2K account with AD Users and computers b) sudo smbpasswd -j EXAMPLE -r WINSERVER -U

Troubles joining a samba 3.0.1rc1 + LDAP domain
I am getting a bad username or password error when I try to logon to the domain from a windows 2000 server. I can't find anything wrong with my config and I'm using a root user that is in the directory with the uid and gid set to 0. The only thing I see in the logs is something about incorrect password length, but I checked that my passwords are encrypted and I can access shares as

strange network problem
Hi, I am trying to fix a problem I have for about a week now. The environment is: --several independent servers with Centos5.4 on the latest patchlevel (example will be server2) All of them are working properly. --a machine with Xen installed to host some virtual machines (xenserver1) --domu servers on xenserver1 (crmserver1, winserver1) The whole network is connected with a Lancom router to a

Can't get G729 working after buying a license.
List, I purchased 2 g729 licenses but I can't get it to answer a g729 call from a cisco router with a vwic card. In the debug output below you will see that asterisk thinks it only supports: (gsm|ulaw|alaw|h263) when it should support g729 according to the config also listed below. The real odd thing is I can place g729 calls to the router, just not from the router to *. Anyone have any

QemuDomainObjEndJob called when libvirtd is started and libvirt insists qemu is using the wrong disk source.
List, I was under the impression that I could restart libvirtd without it destroying my VMs, but am not finding that to be true. When I killall libvirtd then my VM's keep running, but then when I start libvirtd it calls qemuDomainObjEndJob:1542 : Stopping job: modify (async=none vm=0x7fb8cc0d8510 name=test) and my domain gets whacked. Any way to disable this behavior? Also, while I'm

Open sessions on the server
Gentlemen, Samba 4, which I view open server sessions? The sessions that I mean, are the sessions of all machines and users logged in AD. In Winserver, I see the sessions through the Computer Management console / Shared Folders / Sessions. When I try to view the sessions of the Samba server via a PC with RSAT installed, it shows few results. (3 to 6 results). Thank you!

Hello List, I'm trying to get libvirt to work on slackware64-current (slackware64-14.2 beta) and while it compiles just fine, it refuses to run because of an undefined symbol: 2016-03-01 20:09:26.822+0000: 27849: error : virDriverLoadModule:73 : failed to load module /usr/lib64/libvirt/connection-driver/libvirt_driver_storage.so /usr/lib64/../lib64/libfl.so.2: undefined symbol: yylex

Drive-backup functions.
List, Two years ago there was discussion on implementing QEMU's block-dirty-bitmap backup solution: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2016-June/msg00380.html https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2016-April/msg00401.html But I haven't seen anything since, and looking through git, it doesn't look like any of these patches were included. Can someone please bring me

Getting Owner of Files on Mounted Windows Share
Hello everyone, I have an obscure issue that I have been so far unable to find the answer to. I have successfully mounted a windows NTFS file share using samba via the following command: mount -t smbfs -o username=<USERNAME>,workgroup=<WORKGROUP> //winserver/winpath /mnt/win It mounts just fine but performing an ls -al command shows my user (or "root") as the owner of all

Windows Server DHCP + UEFI recipe
I've found a way to support PXE booting both UEFI and BIOS architectures with Windows Server DHCP. This method uses a feature introduced in WinServer 2012: DHCP policies. First, in the the DHCP console, at the IPv4 root of the server, create a vendor class named PXEClient (UEFI x64) with the following value: PXEClient:Arch:00007 Then create your configuration for your BIOS clients in your

Windows Share - FSTAB - CentOS 5
//winserver/winshare /linuxdir smbfs username=username, password=password, this line doesn't work for me in fstab in CentOS 5 to mount a Windows share, it works in other versions of RH. Any Ideas? Will using Windows NFS server/client (some reading required) work better than Samba?

Doing a Node status request to the domain master browser at IP 11.11.11.11 failed
I added a second network card with a new ip address that was say 11.11.11.11. I removed it and samba is still trying to reference it. This server is my domain master. I did not put in an interface parameter in my smb.conf so I am assuming this ip address was recorded as part of my domain master. Where would this ip address been saved? This server is also my PDC and winserver. Any

Remove default homeshare
Hi I'm running a samba-server as fileserver on a Windows 2003 PDC. The users are create on the WinServer, and the homefolders are defined in the AD and stored on the sambaserver //server/homes/%user%. But samba still creates the default share with the same name as the user. How di I disable that. I have # everything that's named something like home and etc.. /Lars
